Great location. I stayed for two nights for Awa River canoeing and Jomon Cedar trekking, and I was lucky to have chosen a very good location.I had asked to leave my luggage before check-in, so I asked before 11:00.As soon as I entered the reception desk, Mr. Kamogawa asked me, ``Isn't it early?'' I was stunned. I decided to put it on the floor of the restaurant. When I was 30cm off from where I was told, I said, "It's not there, it's this way"...The first conversation I had with the islanders after arriving in Yakushima turned out to be a disappointing start. When I called again at check-in time, another person answered the call and told me, ``Tirol is currently not occupied, so please use another accommodation,'' and guided me to a house a little further back. There are no instructions on how to use it or how to pay.Has the room been unused for a while? ! Haven't you cleaned it? My hair is falling and there is dirt. There were a few dead insects...The only saving grace was that the washing machine was new and had a dryer.I made a reservation and payment for my mountain climbing lunch box that evening. The lunch box was 900 yen for breakfast and lunch, and it was very delicious, so I recommend it.When I checked out, Mr. Kamogawa was closed, so I couldn't even say hello, so I felt like I had left the hotel alone. The cost of renting a house is unbeatable, so we recommend it to those who value the price.

I used it to climb Mt. Miyanoura and see the Jomon Cedar. In this type of accommodation, the tatami mats are often not clean, but the tatami mats were clean and comfortable.Yakushima has a washing machine with a dryer, which is nice. And the detergent is free.Since it is located in Awa, I think it is the best location to enjoy the mountains to the fullest. We ate at a restaurant owned by the same owner. Not only are the cheap and hearty set meals and delicious dishes unique to Yakushima, but they also have a wide variety of shochu. (Aiko is here!)I was able to have a stress-free stay as I was able to keep my keys, I only had to leave the keys in my room when I checked out, and I received my rental mountaineering equipment.I got drunk at Restaurant Kamogawa and forgot to take a photo of the hotel (lol)I would like to use it again when I go to Yakushima.

I stayed for 2 nights for Jomon Cedar Trekking. It's a good place because it's cheap and close to the bus stop, but the rooms are terrible.First of all, there is a large dead spider (about 10 cm) stuck to the wall of the room. There was a large live spider in the bathroom. There were a lot of things that looked like spider eggs on the ceiling of the bathroom. There was also a gejigeji. It was hell.Just remembering it gives me chills.

I stayed for 2 nights to see Jomon Cedar. It was a convenient location with good access from the bus stop.I was able to rent out the entire house, which was helpful.I especially liked that there was a washer and dryer!I was able to wash and dry my wet clothes from climbing. There is also a bathtub, although it is small.I was able to warm up my body after climbing. There was also a family restaurant called Kamogawa (run by the owner of Tyrol) and Mos Burger nearby, so I didn't have any problems finding food. Also, they prepared a lunch box for me for 450 yen/person for the climb, which was very helpful. It was so delicious! It was a comfortable accommodation with everything in place. If I come to Yakushima again, I would like to stay at Tyrol. thank you very much.

They have a bad bed bug/Dani infestation. Confirmed by the local doctor. Staff are dismissive and just said no other guests have reported it yet. We stayed 5 nights in May 2021

I am often taken care of when I go mountain climbing in Yakushima. There is also a washing machine and dryer, so you can wash your clothes after climbing. It's a normal private house, but it's nice to be able to rent it out.We recommend the sashimi set meal at the restaurant next door, Kamogawa.

Homely atmosphere. It's a good idea to stay here for a long time as the prices are reasonable and you can cook your own meals. The photo shows a bento box that can be ordered as an additional item. was delicious. If you're aiming for Jomon cedar, be sure to order one.
