I stayed here for 2 nights the other day before Golden Week. This inn has rooms for single occupancy, dinner and breakfast are served in the room, and the accommodation fee is reasonable, so you won't find it anywhere else. The garden is well-maintained, and the Naka River in front of it is clear and beautiful. There were many carp streamers swimming in the Naka River.Because the price is reasonable, it is a simple meal even if you say it is served in your room. There are no fancy main dishes. However, since I'm on a diet, the amount was enough to satisfy me, and it was delicious. The sashimi on the first day was not good. For breakfast, the pufferfish dried overnight was slightly warm. Breakfast is served by the sous chef. He wears a tie, is polite, and always makes sure to orient the slippers in the room carefully. Just by looking at this gesture, you can see that they are preparing the food with care, and it gives you a good impression. The dinner served will be divided into two parts. It's not kaiseki cuisine, so it's not a single dish. If it were for each item, the price would have to be doubled.Once you've finished eating, you'll need to put it down in a designated spot in the hallway. If you call the front desk, they will come and take it down. I don't really like people coming into my room, so I think it would be more reasonable to lower it myself. The renovated open-air bath gives a sense of freedom and is very nice. The last cherry blossoms were still blooming. It is fed directly from the source. There is no circulation pipe. The employees are old and young. Young people can be seen working hard. I couldn't talk to the old man. Well, that may be the case.①It is an old building, and it is not built to allow sunlight to reach every corner as it is surrounded by mountains. As a result, some parts of the hallway smell musty. It doesn't really bother me because it's in the hallway, but it does bother me when I walk in the hallway, so I'd like to see something done about it.②If you take a bath after 8 p.m., an employee who has finished his shift will come in. Of course, there is no need to prohibit bathing. On the first day, there wasn't much of a problem because there was only one employee, but on the second day, two employees came to take an indoor bath. I was in the open-air bath, and I thought two drunk guests had come to the bath because they were chatting loudly. After a while, I headed to the changing room and as I was wiping my sweat with a towel, the two of us got out of the bath and came to the changing room. Even though there are other guests, they are talking loudly. I'm sorry for the low level. When I looked at the clothes basket, I saw that I was wearing regular clothes, not a yukata, and I didn't have a bath towel. It's not slippers, it's sandals, and the other one is shoes.Furthermore, we use the best location for the undressing basket. I think at least the best places should be left to the guests. Disappointing employee. Honestly, I'm disappointed in a hotel that can't manage its employees like this. (Of course, there is no proof that he is an employee, but there are some facts that are not listed here, so I think there is probably no mistake.)When I mentioned this to a friend of mine who runs an inn, he said, ``That's no good. Our company will provide thorough training, so nothing like that will happen. Daikokuya is a historical inn, so it's a shame.'' Ta.Having said that, I'm sure that with some guidance, this kind of behavior will soon be corrected, so I'm looking forward to staying there next time.③The single room is in an old building, so it makes a creaking noise when you walk in the hallway. Therefore, since the head of the single bed is on the hallway side, you can sleep better if you sleep with your feet on this bed. The second day was comfortable.④The toilet has a sliding door, so when the person next door opens and closes the toilet in the middle of the night, you can hear a lot of banging noises that wake you up.After all, it was a trip that made me feel like home was the best option, but the repeat rate is 80%, and I would like to go again.
