Summer vacation is here, and the municipal pools are crowded, so I searched for river activities. It was a place that could be reached in about 30 minutes, so I took my child and headed out. The road near our destination was a bit narrow, but we managed to pass each other.The river is clear and shallow, so I think it's safe even for small children. If you have a small net, you can enjoy catching small fish. This is what I brought. It is best to bring insect repellent spray, nets, insect cages, hats, and marine shoes if you have them.It's the perfect place to play for about an hour. The surrounding area, including here, has been maintained by Osaka Prefecture in various ways.Spider webs sometimes cover my face, so it's best to brush them off with a cap or a fallen branch.

During the hike, we stopped to buy drinks and use the restroom. It's an old facility, especially the toilets, which have old-fashioned pumps, but they're kept clean and you can see the hard work that went into it. The staff were also friendly and kind. There is also a fireplace with a nice atmosphere that you can actually use. They mainly cater to groups, and do not accept groups of less than 10 people or solo camps, so I guess most of them are forest schools or overnight daycares. It is a little-known spot close to Izumi city, complete with a rice cooker and a river play area.

This facility is located in the mountains. There is a parking lot in front, and you can enjoy hiking along the forest road. I have never used the facility, so please check other people's reports.

I went to Sefukuji Temple on Mt. Makio. It took 30 to 40 minutes to get there from the parking lot. It was almost a mountain climb. The descent took about 20 minutes, but my legs took a lot of strength. On the internet, it says that the closing time is 17:00, but from November to March, the closing time is 16:00.

Even beginners can enjoy it slowly. It's easy to climb even with children, and there's a long roller slide near the top, so it's a great way to enjoy it. You can also enjoy the view, and if the weather is good, you can see all the way to Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Awaji Island.

You basically have to bring your own barbecue ingredients, but they're cheap! For that reason, it is often full on Saturdays and Sundays, so we recommend making reservations in advance by phone.
