There are very few lodgings in Shiretoko that allow dogs, which is very helpful. Dogs are welcome in the 3LDK Building A, which is a renovated former teacher's residence.Although it was older and more spacious than an apartment in the city, it was clean and comfortable. Dogs are allowed on beds other than futons. The price is originally reasonable, but it can accommodate up to 5 to 6 people, making it even more reasonable if you have a large group. It is also recommended for families with small children.Although you will be staying without meals, the kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, pot dishes, etc., so you can buy some food and enjoy it at your leisure. The area is really quiet, including Raiun Shrine, but if you have a car, there is a supermarket and a day trip hot spring within 10 minutes. By the way, the attached bath is tiled and small, so I don't recommend it especially in winter. The riders staying in the main building were also quiet this time, but since there are no air conditioners in midsummer, I wonder if many of them spend their time outside? There is no cleaning service during consecutive stays, so it would be nice if there was a discount for consecutive stays. Also, there is Wi-Fi, but the au type has poor reception and when I asked at the reception, they lent me a pocket Wi-Fi, which made it more comfortable.Anyway, it's a great base for sightseeing in Shiretoko, and I'd like to use it again.

I used it for touring.◼︎I think 2,000 yen for a room without meals in the rider dormitory is reasonable. I'm grateful that the bike storage area has a roof. But be careful as it's gravel.◼︎There are two showers and they are clean. There is a hot spring nearby, although it is not within walking distance. If you want to take a relaxing soak in a bathtub, I think hot springs are also a good option.◼︎Laundry is free and drying is 100 yen for 30 minutes. There is only one dryer, so you have to use it at the right time.◼︎The eating and drinking space is separated into non-smoking and smoking rooms, so I thought it was a good idea to make sure that both smokers and non-smokers could spend a comfortable time👍◼︎According to regular customers, the men's dormitory is always full during the busy season, but the women's rider dormitory is rarely fully booked, and if you are a female, there may be spaces available on the same day. I did. The women's dormitory was in the back room on the second floor. I would like to use it again because it was reasonably priced. It's been surprisingly hot in Hokkaido lately, and there's no air conditioning in the dormitory, so it was hot even at night. I think it will be a little cooler if you bring a handy fan. However, the ceiling is connected, so be careful of the volume.

I didn't notice that the check-out time was 9:30 in the morning. I was charged a fine of 500 per person. Please be careful that no receipt is issued for the fine.

Stayed here for 2 nights while touring around October last year. This is a low-cost rider house located in an abandoned school, and anyone can come by bike, bicycle, foot, or car. Tourist spots such as Shiretoko, Lake Kussharo, Kaiyodai, and Abashiri can be reached within an hour each way, so we recommend using it as a base for eastern Hokkaido. There is a drum can next to the school building, and you can fill it with water and boil it with firewood (free and as much as you like) before entering. The bottom is hot to the point of death, but don't worry because there are drainboards for that purpose. At night, as I was taking a bath in a drum can for the first time in my life, I saw red foxes passing by in front of me, and I saw many shooting stars. It was nothing short of amazing. When I was watching people fishing for salmon in Shiretoko, I happened to catch a male salmon and gave it to them for free.At the water school, I borrowed a knife cutting board for free and cut it up and ate it.It's a place filled with fond memories. There are no fluffy beds or jacuzzis, but for someone who spends a lot of time in tents and camping out in the open, it's comfortable enough. Please come and visit us.

DQN accommodation for DQN by DQN.A local motorcycle shop sold the reinforced concrete elementary school at a low price and is operating it under the pretext of using it as a base for sightseeing in Shiretoko. Rider houses and camp sites are only operating as proof that they are running a business, but in reality they seem to be trying to make money from the high-priced guesthouses. As a result, he had no respect for the riders, and I was surprised to hear the owner instructing the staff to chase them away if they (=riders) approached. Since it is run by such an owner, the attitude of the staff is terrible. The staff, who look like the underlings of a thug, take the money for the hotel and take it away, and the way they speak is shocking. Also, I can't watch the regulars who want to flatter the staff and get lectured by the rider with a blank face. ah. I remember fondly the old days when there was a Raiha like this in the past. It feels like the unpleasant parts of Raiha have been concentrated.I participated in a barbecue where I was told that I would only have to pay for the materials. There were 16 participants and the cost was 1,000 yen per person (= budget of 16,000 yen), but the total amount of meat we grilled was less than 3,000 yen (just cheap meat. I was in charge of the grilling area since no one was working, so I was looking at the price tag). Even if you include the cost of vegetables, rice, sauce, and charcoal, you'll still have 5,000 yen left over. Where did the remaining 10,000 yen go? I don't know if the person in charge of purchasing the money was embezzled or if the inn was kidnapped. The barbecue itself was shockingly poor. There is no reason to come all the way to Hokkaido and bow down to these incomprehensible people, so I will never go there again. This is the inn where I had the worst experience during my trip to Hokkaido. If you don't like riders, you shouldn't do business with riders. I didn't expect any service from a cheap hotel from the beginning, but isn't it possible to treat people like normal people?Furthermore, because of the ulterior motives typical of old men, they are unusually soft on women, so it is recommended for women who are looking for a cheap hotel with clean facilities, or for women who want to be admired by an old man. Also, the rules of the inn are that pensioners are not allowed, if you stay for consecutive nights, you must be out from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and cannot stay at the inn, and if you extend your stay, you must submit a notification by 9:00 am, and these unique rules are as follows. It's not explained orally, it's just written on a piece of paper. However, if you overlook it and fail to protect it, you will be kicked out immediately. It is not suitable for people who want to rest at an inn because they are tired or unwell during the journey. Is there some kind of grudge against the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare or the pension office for restricting guests based on whether or not they receive a pension instead of age? 🤔
