I stayed there with half board because I wanted to travel to the valley and because I heard that my mother's cooking was delicious. The rice was delicious, as expected, consisting mainly of wild vegetables and rock fish, and I enjoyed talking with my mom as I ate it.The bath was also nice. Some reviews said it was full of mold, but it wasn't mold.I was a little disappointed that there was no refrigerator in the room, but it was clean and had a nice view.It was cloudy at night so I couldn't see anything, but there were almost no street lights and I think the starry sky was beautiful.I've been asked to come again, and I would definitely like to go again.

This is a road that can only be reached by car, and you don't want to go with a slightly larger or new car.Additionally, there was no air conditioning at the inn, so I spent the next morning without healing my tanned skin. The bathroom is full of mold.People who like it will like it, but the cost performance is not good, so camping is better for me personally.

Food is simple . Just a small fish with some tempura vegetables . The tourists info at Nagiso who recommended this place says it has nice views . But not so . For the price of 12000 yen per person this is the most expensive place during my tour of Nagano of 2 weeks and compared with the other places I would place it at the bottom .

I visited this place while walking from Junikane Station to Kakinokake Valley. It seems that the main purpose is to stay overnight, but you can also use it for day trips to take a bath or just have a meal. When I visited, I was welcomed by an elderly mother and her son. When I went inside, it was dark and I felt uneasy, but through the conversation I was able to get a good feel for the place. For lunch, we had a seasonal tempura set meal and salt-grilled rock fish. It had a homey taste and was comforting. My mom said that tempura uses herbs and Wakasugi, so this was my first time trying it. It seemed to be busy as there were many guests from Europe. The place felt like home.

I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to the Ichikawa Ryokan family. I stayed there for 5 days and it was an amazing great experience. The attention and kindness from the owner were outstanding. Every day, I felt delicated touch with breakfast and dinner. The food is so tasty and well associated with fresh vegetables, incredible tempuras, excellent local fish, and meat. A huge thank you, they owner drove me to Tsumago and let me walk along the path to Nagiso and pick me up back to the Ryokan. I had the pleasure to meet japanese, Chinese, and Singaporean guests friendly guests. The surroundings with waterfalls and cascades are absolutely harmonious and the air regenerating. It is a superb place to feel calm and understand the Japanese Alps atmosphere. Please pay a visit and appreciate nature. Marvelous!

I had a wonderful short stay at ichikawa inn. Although a language barrier the host was kind and welcoming ensuring I had everything I needed. The accommodation is extremely clean and relaxing to be in with the addition of beautiful nature sounds surrounding the place. The meals made by my host were delicious and generous. It was clear she put a lot of effort in making the traditional variety of small dishes that are often foraged for nearby! Thank you ichikawa inn and take care !

The food here is worth mentioning.Exquisite country cuisine from Nagano. In particular, the wild vegetable tempura had a texture I had never eaten before and was very delicious. Horse sashimi, river fish, etc. were served. The number and quantity of items were appropriately voluminous and satisfying. You can feel the mother's heart in her cooking, saying, ``It makes me really happy when the customers eat deliciously.''The bathroom is also very open. I was surprised at first, but I was able to relax and enjoy the view.
