This very simple ryokan is like staying at your Auntie's house. The rooms are about 120 sf each. The onsen is a large tub in a bathroom so it's private for one person. However the best surprise is the food. …

I was overwhelmed by the amount of food and the taste was so good that I was able to fully enjoy the meal and feel very relaxed at the same time.We were three people on a bicycle trip, and even though we shared the same room at an inn on the way, they kept us all in separate rooms here, and they even went out of their way to make extra snacks for our foreign guests. I was happy. The proprietress is friendly and fun to talk to, so I would like to come again.

I stayed here with three high school classmates on September 25th.I came by car from Tokyo, so I was worried about parking, but it was a hassle.I was able to park my car inside the entrance of the guesthouse Kato. The rooms are 6 tatami mats in size, with one on the second floor facing the post street and the next room (there are no windows, but there is an open ceiling with plenty of light).Although it is possible to sleep three people in one room, the hostess of the inn asked us to use two rooms, so we were spoiled.Dinner consisted of 13 dishes, including small dishes prepared with various seasonings such as wild plants and vegetables, salt-grilled sweetfish, roast beef, sashimi, tempura, and chawan mushi. It was delicious and left me full. The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The scenery of historical dramas can be seen from the second floor window facing the street! The landlady also had a friendly personality. We highly recommend this inn.
