When you climb Mt. Kiso-Komagatake from the Kiso side (Agematsu A course, Fukushima B course), the first manned hut you will see. It is located exactly at the 9th station, and it takes about an hour to reach the summit from here. From here, if you look towards Kiso, where you have climbed, you can see Mt. Ontake and Mt. Hakusan in the distance through a sea of clouds, giving you a truly dynamic view.It is a one-story building with a large hall where groups and individuals can relax at low tables. When it's time to sleep, spread out your futon in the same hall (if it's crowded, remove the low tables). It has the style of an old-fashioned mountain hut.Meals are well-balanced, with a combination of side dishes, soups, vegetables, pickled vegetables, and cooked rice. What is noteworthy is that guests can use the shower for a fee. I'm grateful for this. One night and two meals is 10,000 yen (2024), which is also pocket-friendly.I highly recommend this Tamanokubo Sanso to those who want to climb Mt. Kiso-Komagatake and climb from the Kiso direction.

I used it in the summer of 2023.This is an old-fashioned mountain hut.On this day, there were two guests, myself and one other person. The rice was simple but delicious. Best of all, you can use the shower. I would definitely use it again.

A great accommodation experience. The boss and other guests are very welcoming and the quilt is very comfortable! The pork gravy for dinner was delicious! You can see the Big Dipper from outside the hut at night, and you can see the sea of clouds and morning glow by climbing halfway up the mountain for 10 minutes in the morning😆

I came here for the first time in 40 years to the Tamanokubo hut where I used to stay with my father, partly because my father passed away. I was very moved to be able to get my hands on a badge that was only available here that I was given when I was a child and lost it before I knew it.It was mid-July, but the futon was a little cold when I went to bed, so I thought it would be a good idea to have an inner shellaf. I would like to come again next year.

The interior has been taken care of little by little, so it was a comfortable stay. The restrooms are clean, and the best part is that guests can take a hot shower for 500 yen. A hair dryer is also located in the washroom next to the toilet. The shampoos are soap bubble powder soap shampoos, and you can wash your body with them as well. The rinse is the same type. It washes well and leaves my hair moisturized. There were no sheets on the futon, so I was able to rest comfortably by using the towel I had brought with me on my pillow and neck. The food was also very delicious. They made miso soup and other soups with plenty of stock, and they also served an amount of vegetable side dishes that you wouldn't expect from a mountain hut.I heard that the water is pumped up, so I think that's why the food tastes even better. The souvenirs were a badge, a bandana, and a noren curtain, so I bought a flower badge.I was told that the restaurant is often visited by groups, but perhaps because it was Sunday, I was the only one there, so I was able to browse through the plant encyclopedias that were on display as much as I wanted. From September, it will be open only on Saturdays and Sundays, and reservations are required, so it is better to inquire by calling the number listed on the website. The owner of the mountain hut is really nice, and it is a mountain hut that I would like to come back to stay at again.
