Our hosts Yuki and Erica were wonderful, so kind, helpful and hospitable, having us in their home, with their two young children, cooking us dinner and breakfast with easy conversation and helpful tips on where to go and what to see as we toured around on motorbikes. The nearby Onsen where Yuki works was fantastic and in a beautiful location, close to the mountains and the sea. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I stayed with Yuki and Eriko for 1 night, and it was my favourite stay in all of Japan. We felt the warmth and kindness of their wonderful family, and saw the true beauty of Japan’s countryside. A real hidden gem in Ayabe, we loved catching crabs in the river and going on a “night safari” to see wild deer. Yuki and Eriko are also wonderful people to have conversations with, not to mention Eriko is a wonderful cook! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a heartwarming glimpse into Japan’s countryside, (their kids Saku and Aito are also adorable).

My family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights and we had a great time. For the meal, we had seasonal vegetable tempura grown in the inn's vegetable garden and Jibei meat. good.I was able to relax at a nearby beautiful stream, and it was great to hear all kinds of local stories from the husband and wife. We also learned a lot of local tourist information. It was a nice vacation.I was convinced that people from all over the world would come.I was able to access the inn using Google, but the final route was difficult to find, so I called to confirm.Thank you again for your help.

I stayed in Satoyama GH couture for 3 times during 1 year. I felt like at home. Yuki san and Eriko san also guided me to many nice places. I could learn how to make soba, visiting the Forest, Rose Garden, joining the Firefly Festival....If you like nature and culture, highly recommend to stay.I will visit them as soon as possible.

My wife and I spent 2 days at the Guesthouse in November as part of a 2 week Japan trip. It was a restorative 2 days where we spent time with Yuki san and his family + other locals, slowly sauntered around the countryside, enjoyed the locally grown food, and played board games with their unbeatable son. They were warm and hospitable. It was easily the highlight of our entire trip and we wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you Yuki-san and family! Until next time.

We are from Taiwan, and this is my first time staying in Japan with the host family. We live and eat together in different rooms in the same house. On the morning of our check-in, we received a notice from the host that he would hold an event in a rose garden, if we happen to be free. , you can meet him there in the afternoon, and he will guide us about the rose garden. We tasted delicious matcha cakes, ice cream, and bought tea there, as well as beautiful and affordable wreaths. The host of the B&B at night My wife invited us to cook dinner together. The dinner was very healthy and delicious. I missed the mochi after the meal, especially the white rice they grew themselves. We also shared Taiwanese snacks with the host family and tourists from Finland, and had breakfast the next day. It was also very healthy and delicious. After leaving, we went to the hot spring shop for a bath, which was very comfortable. For lunch, we met the host of the B&B in a very delicious and special restaurant and met a girl from Macau who can speak Chinese. This is a very unforgettable memory. The B&B couple enthusiastically shared it and made us feel a lot of love. Thank you for allowing my husband and I to have a wonderful vacation. By the way, we have a super cute and well-behaved cat. I like him very much.

My partner and I spent 3 nights in late May 2023 with Yuki, Eriko and family at their wonderful and idyllic abode in the countryside of Ayabe. It was a beautiful experience. We were warmly welcome by Yuki and his family and shared many meals together while exploring the countryside. We managed to hike, partake in an onsen experience, have a personal guided sake brewery tour and view multiple traditional Japanese houses around the Ayabe and Maizuru regions upclose. We also had the privilege of experiencing countryside living with Yuki and his family, who were so kind to take care of us and share their life philosophy with us.This is certainly an experience I treasure and would highly recommend to anyone with an open adventurous mind who desires a hyper local experience.

It was my first time staying in a private lodging, but the owner's family treated me well and I had a wonderful time☺️In addition to being healed by the nature of Ayabe, I was also able to see a herd of deer like on a night safari, and learn a lot of things I didn't know before. In addition, for the meal, we had tempura made with wild vegetables, and we also enjoyed delicious locally grown chicken and rice.We also took them to a nearby hot spring. It looks like it's going to be nice again in the summer, so I wanted to visit again 😊
