Sato Yamaya at the 5th station of the Fujiyoshida Line. It is in a mountainous area and has a good environment. When climbing Mount Fuji in Japan, carry Japanese yen cash and 100¥500¥ coins are very useful (going to the toilet, buying water, drinks, coffee, and vending machines)

Did not stay overnight. Only had lunch here. I didn't know there was accommodation options. It is definitely unique and mountainy. 25min flat walking path from 5th station, it has been a landmark for a long time and hikers come here to pay homage to the legendary hospitality on Mt Fuji.We had curry rice and ramen platters in the shed overlooking the valley with mountain mist in the air. The main building has wood burning stove with a water pot just old school welcoming charm to tired and wet and cold climbers. Just plain and simple yet what warming sight and comfort food!Away from the bus loads of loud tourists this feels more like part of the real Mt Fuji experience without a full 8 hour commitment!

This is great place for climbers an mountain lovers.Sato's place is warm, welcoming. It is on a 2230m altitude. In winter it is possible to come here under request. You can get there all food, water. They have equipment to rent.There are great views. And very welcoming owner.Cash only, remember it.

A great cabin that provided us with a stable and warm place to stay in the mountains.The boss and his wife are very kind and helpful.The included breakfast and dinner items are non-repetitive and delicious. It’s hard to imagine that you can also eat delicacies on the plains in the mountains.Will come again if I have the chance, thank you sato families!
