Just wow! Stunning accommodation with a unbelievably nice atmosphere. Very nice lobby/bar area which is perfect to chill out after a hike or just any day. The food which was offered was very good, we had a very pleasant evening with good conversations. Our room was very nice, too with tatami floor and 2 beds, all we needed. The hostel is a bit off, so not easy to reach by public transport. But the personell offers a ride (free of charge) if you concat them in advance. Would defenitely recommend, one of the nicest hostels/hotels I have ever been.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The setting is gorgeous and the hostel itself is beautifully presented. Our hosts were very friendly and kind. We had the delicious curry bowls and really enjoyed the sake tasting. We also found the location to be a perfect way of extending our walk past Tsumago without having to go all the way to Nojiri in one day. This was one of our favourite places to stay.

Beautiful, immaculately clean hostel in a stunning setting. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and friendly. They went out of their way to drop us off at the train station early so we could make the express train. The dinner was delicious and the space itself was so well designed. Incredibly peaceful. Would 1000% recommend

We arrived at the train station and the provided pick up service took us to the location with no charge. The location remote, quite, with a nice view, perfect for relaxation. The host and the stuff speak really good english which, until now, is rare in Japan.Sake tasting was a really nice experience at a fair price.I would recommend at least 2 nights in this location if you want to really relax. 🧘‍♀️

This place is OK. The view is great, as is the sake tasting. Unfortunately, food and breakfast are some weird concept with rice curry -indian inspired; not what you care about in Japan- and factory white bread, with a boiled egg, jam and cheese that you can melt. The owner seems not to know or care that japanese food is one of the attractions of his country. Just supplying guests with calories won't give you good reviews.
