I haven't stopped by or stayed at the lodge yet, but I'd like to share some of the interesting content from Yamato Keikokusha's podcast on Mountain Hut Stories in hopes of making the experience even a little better for those who use it. . 💡You can enjoy Mountain Hut Stories on Spotify and YouTube. 👂①The owner, Takeki Yonekawa, has three brothers, and his youngest brother, Yuki Yonekawa, also runs two mountain huts, Tateshina Sanso and Futagoike Hut, with his wife Yoshiko.Yuki is on Instagram with the account @hana.azu. ☝️It might be fun to visit both huts and discover the differences in the services provided by the brothers and the atmosphere of the mountain huts.Another Tateshina summit hut is owned by Sawako Yonekawa, the young proprietress and third generation owner, and we will update this review as soon as we know what kind of relationship she will have with Takeki and Tomoki.②The popular menu item, muffins, are baked by the wife of the owner, Takeki, downstairs, and carried up to the hut on her back.③Mr. Takeki's father was a famous bar owner who often drank with his customers, and there was a time when 90% of the customers came to Kuroyuri Hutte just to drink. Staff members who like to drink alcohol are welcome. 🍺Since the hut has a drinking culture, it might be a wonderful night if we, the users, asked the hut staff if they would like to have a drink with us.④Kuroyuri Hutte is recommended during the rainy season. ☔️Both wild cherry and black lily bloom during the rainy season in June. It is said to be late in July when the rainy season ends. After hearing this, I tend to go away from the mountains during the rainy season, but I decided to go to Kuroyuri Hutte from next year onwards.⑤ Current owner Takeki's theme and goal for working at Kuroyuri Hutte is to explore and find out why her grandmother, who founded Kuroyuri Hutte, started here. 👵🏻

I used it for a tent night. The tent field is not very large, and since it is in the forest, there is not a wide view. The cowberry muffins that you can eat while the cafe is open are very delicious.

It was a very beautiful mountain hut.The staff were friendly. The sky is full of stars at 2:30am. I could see the Milky Way with my naked eyes. The outdoor tea ceremony in front of the hut was also great. There is a piano in the hut, and those who can play properly were allowed to do so with the owner's permission so as not to disturb other guests.

In the last week of July, I headed to Mt. Yatsugatake Higashitengudake for an overnight trek to the Kuroyuri Hut.Starting from Shirakoma Pond, we headed to Takami Stone and Nakayama Observation Deck before heading to the hut.The hutte in front of the tent area is a two-story building with a common room/baggage sorting space, luggage storage, kitchen, dining room, and restroom on the first floor. The second floor has two types of bedrooms: a shared room and a private room. The toilet and washroom are spacious and easy to use.The facilities for a mountain hut are standard. I would like to say that the food was okay, but the amount of side dishes was too small. Climbing uses a lot of calories. I was shocked to see the amount of main dishes on the tray. For dinner, the hamburger steak was served in a ready-to-eat package with a light garnish. I wish I had more quality animal protein. You'll run out of silliness long before you get to the rice. The table area in front of the hut entrance is large and comfortable. You can relax here until check-in. The price for 350 cans of beer is 500 yen, and the price for 500 cans is 800 yen. This is a popular mountain hut in Yatsugatake. Early reservations are recommended.

We walked Mt. Shimakare, Takamiishi, and Mt. Tengu, and then spent one night visiting Nyuu and Shirakoma Pond. It was great that it was at the foot of Mt. Tengu and took an hour each way. The staff are also courteous. I was shown to my bedroom at 4:30, so I waited in the lobby on the first floor. You can drink the rainwater from the tank freely. Other than the private rooms, you will sleep on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and each person will have their own futon, so there is no need to bring your own sheets. If you come in a group, men and women will be together. I leave my backpack on the first floor and only bring my valuables to my futon. Meals are served at 5:30 in the morning and evening, and the seats are the same in the morning and evening. The quality and quantity are sufficient, and you can refill the rice and miso soup. There are no teacups, so it's a good idea to bring your own cup. I drank it with a miso soup bowl. You can also order lunch boxes for the next day. The toilets are clean, Western-style, and flush. 200 yen for non-guests. Even on extremely hot days in the lower part of the country, it's cool here, and the temperature outside at 5 a.m. the next morning was 13 degrees Celsius. There are about 10 types of mountain badges, including Kuroyuri Hutte, Tengudake, and Nyuu. Beef stew is famous for those who stop by for lunch. On this day, there were four helicopter unloading trips.
