Staying with Hana and Gigi was the highlight of our time in Japan. From the moment we arrived they treated us like family, preparing delicious breakfasts of chicken soba, local unagi, eggs, pickles, fruits and the most perfect rice we’ve ever eaten. Hana and Gigi are both the most kind, gracious and generous hosts, and the house itself is beautiful, overlooking the river and a magical moss garden. They gave us tips for exploring the town, Kyoto and Amanohashidate,a nearby town with one of the three most beautiful views in Japan. We absolutely loved our stay here and can’t wait to visit again soon 💕

The perfect getaway from Kyoto. If you are looking for a Japan countryside experience then this is the place for you. Just an hour away from Kyoto, tucked away in the mountains, you get the most adorable wife & husband hosts that owns a traditional Japanese house by the river with a zen garden. They also provide the most delicious breakfast every morning. Highly recommend to have this on your list to book.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hana and Jiro’s homestay in this charming little village in Japan! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of their family. The couple went above and beyond to make our experience truly special, especially with our two young kids (3 and 1).Hana and Jiro were incredibly welcoming and patient, embracing our children’s energy and even forgiving the occasional mess. They provided not just a place to sleep, but a warm and authentic experience of village life. We enjoyed delicious homemade meals and had the chance to connect with the local community, all with their helpful guidance.Staying here gave us a unique glimpse into family life in this beautiful rural setting. If you’re looking for a memorable and heartwarming getaway, this homestay is a gem! Thank you, Hana and Jiro, for making our family trip so special. We can’t wait to return!

My family and I stayed here for my 94 year old grandmother's birthday. I was so moved by the warm hospitality and thoughtfulness of this wonderful couple! My grandma and all my family members were very satisfied and we were able to make some very good memories. This is all thanks to the wonderful inn and the couple. Thank you very much♪

I was really happy chatting with the hostess and the boss of the hotel. They even gave me a bowl as a gift. They were so welcoming. The atrium is beautiful and the house is also very well maintained. I highly recommend everyone to come.

This is my third time using it. As you work on the porch, coffee and sweets are gently offered to you. I can't help but touch the itchy areas, and I find myself relaxing even more than I do at my parents' house.The people I've come to know from the town always welcome me with big smiles and warm feelings, which makes my heart feel warm (perfect for those who are tired of city life! lol) Next time, I want to visit again when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Hana-san and her husband were amazing hosts who treated us like family - upon getting to their beautiful home late at night (understanding our later than expected arrival), they extended us help with our bags, some delicious sake and beer, and chopped fruit to help rehydrate us. In the morning, Hana-san prepared us an incredible breakfast, and ensured we got out at the time we wanted to. She even helped us with our laundry.I have genuinely never been treated better at an Airbnb, and hardly ever by my own family. I sincerely recommend you stay with Hana-san if you’re in or around Fukuchiyama. You won’t be disappointed.

Staying in Hana-san's traditional home, we were reminded of the story of Baucis and Philemon, Ovid's elderly couple who showed such great hospitality that even the gods could not but reward them in life and in death.We found ourselves in that small village in the mountains after three weeks roaming around central Japan. Japanese hospitality had been remarkable, but Hana and her husband epitomized the very best Japan had to offer. If you're considering this place, odds are that you want to experience a side of Japan away from the throngs of tourists and their shiny baubles.We woke up at 5 am every morning and had coffee in the zen garden, watching dragonflies with jet-black wings alight elegantly on the branches of a Japanese maple tree. A passing afternoon shower turned the moss garden and every leaf into a landscape of shiny droplets, which we watched from the traditional Japanese hearth, a cup of tea in hand.There's magic still left in that house and in those mountains. We were truly blessed by the gods for having had such a wonderful experience.

I visited with my family of 3, including my child (6 years old). I was welcomed warmly and it felt like I had come back to my hometown.The cool breeze in the morning and evening that you can't experience in Osaka, the moss-covered garden carefully tended by the owner is like space, and the room has a Japanese-Western eclectic taste filled with the mother's taste. Room. And most of all, I was moved by the hospitality of the couple and their unique feeling that you can't find anywhere else! The children were treated as if they were grandchildren, and the children and their fathers were absorbed in playing in the nearby river, so the stay went by quickly.When you say stop by when you're nearby, I'm sure the next one will be right now! It looks like it will be! ! I'm already looking forward to seeing you again next time! It's Take Care Day! thank you very much! !

It was a lovely couple, a lovely garden, and a wonderful breakfast! It was cool even in the summer, and it was a lot of fun as it had a garden where you could feel the four seasons.

This is an inn where you'll want to stay not just for one night, but for several nights.There is a garden with a beautiful contrast between green moss and white stones. I could hear the quiet murmur of the river passing by the inn, and I was able to spend a relaxing time looking out at the garden.The aunt and uncle at the inn were very nice and we had a lot of fun talking with them!

I came across this inn by chance last year, and I was completely charmed by the atmosphere of the inn and garden, as well as the personality of the owner and his wife, so I went back for the first time in a year! I'm so touched that you remember us! We received even greater hospitality than last time. My heart and stomach are full!Especially the wife (Hana-san)'s beer fortune-telling? will become a guidepost for your life.Anyway, this is an inn where you can be healed and rejuvenated.I'll visit you again!
