My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of September. This is an inn nestled in the forest. We had a very satisfying time enjoying the heartfelt hospitality of the friendly couple, the wonderful food, and the best hot springs. Next time I have a chance to come here, I would definitely like to visit again.

This place is known as at least 3 names, Kira of the inn Subaru, Subaru forest inn and pension. The road sign put as pension. Glad to know that the google map location is correct.Went in June, arrived at around 7pm. Stayed for 2 nights here. There are rooms on 1st and 2nd floor. If you have a large luggage, be sure to request to stay on 1st floor. 2 shared Japanese style bathrooms on 1st floor. But if you want to have 1 bathroom all by yourself, need to request in advance. Each bathroom can accommodate at least 3 pax at a time.Food is superb, at least 5 main course each time. Best food i had in Hokkaido/japan. I think this place is good to stay for 3 nights. The couple is very friendly, gave us warm welcome. Took the time to chat with us around meal times. Most communication done via google translate or simple English.I didn’t feel that I was ostracised there. I felt I was part of there. You can write your reviews/feelings on the book in the common area. They still kept the reviews back in 2012!

I came here in a rental car from Kushiro Airport from Tokyo in early July.My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days.birch forest,The sound of birds chirping and the leaves rustling in the wind,A small customer who came for food also found deer footprints,It's fun to take a walk where your curiosity takes you. There are two hot spring baths that can be accessed directly from the room, an open-air bath and an indoor bath, which can be reserved for private use by families. You can relax in the lukewarm open-air bath,It is colorless, transparent, odorless, and makes my skin smooth. And Subaru's owner couple,He is a master of warm hospitality. Each meal was carefully prepared using locally sourced ingredients.I also enjoy the landlady's desserts every time.Thank you very much for the meal.Next time I would like to come here again to see the winter scenery.

I'm very happy to be able to spend a night in this forest B&B while driving in Hokkaido. The owner and his wife are very kind. The room is warm and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner provided are rich and delicious. It is surrounded by nature. You can also see squirrels and many animals during the day. Planting birds is really relaxing and enjoyable for the body and mind. It is also very friendly to families with children. It is an experience that makes people want to go back.

A tasteless and odorless hot spring. Slight hot spring flavorThe temperature of the indoor bath is around 42 degrees because it is fed directly from the source. The temperature in the open-air bath is less than 40 degrees.Peel off the wooden board and enter. It wasn't very sanitary due to fallen leaves and moss, but it felt nice to take a bath in nature.500 yen for a day trip. It costs 600 yen if you rent it privately.1 hour use, last reception at 2:00 pm, exit at 3:00 pm
