Used at the end of September 2024 to climb Mt. Kaimondake. There are free camping sites, auto campsite division sites, and auto campsite free sites, but the one I stayed at was the free campsite. It cost ¥1,870 for one tarp for one night. There is a water hole, a stove, and a Western-style toilet. There is lighting to the extent that it is not blinding. There are vending machines, trash cans, and coin lockers for ¥100 (no return) near the administration building. You can shop in the administration building until 8:30pm, selling cup noodles, sweets, ice cream, juice, and more. No alcohol. For other food purchases, I rely on A Co-op and Family Mart, which are about a 30-minute walk away. There is a toilet at the back of the administration building, and you can take a shower for ¥200 for 10 minutes during business hours. There are showers at the same price at the auto campsite, and even free campsite users can use them 24 hours a day.The free campsite is on a slope, with soil mounded to create a flat surface. The grass is planted and it's comfortable to sleep as it is.It seems that the embankment is mixed with gravel to stop the flow, but the pegs will work.At night, there were lights, so it wasn't completely dark, but the stars were clearly visible. There is a livestock market, so you can hear the cows mooing. There were no horseflies at the end of September, but there were some mosquitoes.I had to take down my tent at 11am when I checked out, but I was able to leave my unnecessary luggage in a coin locker, so I was able to climb the mountain very easily. When I get back, I take a shower and freshen up.There's cola and ice cream too. That's awesome.

I used a powered auto site. The site was spacious enough and the location was great as you could see Mt. Kaimondake up close. The toilets and kitchen were clean, although there were bugs in the summer. The shower room was almost unusable, and I was able to use only one room, but the water pressure could not be adjusted and was so strong that it hurt lol.

I used this campsite to climb Mt. Kaimondake. It's the perfect way to relax and enjoy the tataki free-range chicken you bought at a nearby supermarket!By the way, is fresh and fairly cheap local chicken available at local prices?

Since it is a scenic park, there are no guest rooms (therefore, it will not be rated). This park is often used as a venue for multipurpose events. The roads in the area are narrow and steep, so one-way traffic may be temporarily restricted, so be careful of wrong-way driving accidents.

I used to visit him frequently in the fall and winter, but due to family circumstances, we were estranged for about a year. For the first time in a while, I set up a tent at the Auto Site B section from Sunday to Monday in mid-October.The temperature was a bit chilly from the evening until late at night, and it got colder from around 4am.It's always a windy area, but the wind stopped around 6pm.When the weather is cloudless and the temperature drops late at night, the starry sky is so amazing that I never get tired of coming here. What was so difficult this time was the attack by stray cats? was. There was also a time when there were few other site users (there were no users in the surrounding area), and cats (5 to 6 cats) were concentrated in my house's site because they were looking for leftover food, etc. It was very uncomfortable during mealtimes, as he would get rustled, climb on the table and chairs, and come up to me and ask for food.If you're an unparalleled cat lover, you might be happy no matter what happens, but I'm a dog person...
