Location is great but don't get your hopes up with the condition of the amenities. Owner is friendly. It's basically a place to sleep. You go for the slopes, not the hotel experience.

This is a homely, low-cost inn near the ski slopes.I used it on a snowboarding tour where I couldn't choose where to stay. Since it was a cheap plan, I can't deny that the facilities were old, but the location was great and I was able to check in early in the morning, so it was a good accommodation.Good points:Best of all, it's located right next to the ski slopes. It's a few minutes walk to the Nagasaka Gondola stop at Nozawa Onsen, which is probably closer than going from the day-trip parking lot. On the way back, you can ski right in front of your inn with your board on.The hot spring town is also within easy walking distance. Also, the flexibility of being able to get into your room as soon as you arrive in the morning. Even when checking out, I was able to use the room normally until I left around 3pm.The room is large and has a kotatsu. I used two rooms, and the rooms were directly connected with sliding doors, making it easy to move between them. The building is simple and allows for smooth movement between the rooms, dining room, entrance, drying room, and washroom. (*There is no elevator)Also, the host was kind. A balanced and healthy meal is served in the morning and evening. (With Nozawana, of course!) They lent me salt for the snacks I brought for the evening banquet, and gave me souvenirs at the end. They were very kind to me.Points of concern:No amenities included. You must also bring your own towel and toothbrush. I didn't use the bathroom at the hotel, so I don't know about shampoos and hair dryers. (There was a hot spring facility a few minutes walk away, so I used that.)There are very few electrical outlets for the number of people that can stay.It would be nice to have a drying room, but perhaps the heater was turned off at night, so my boots and other small items left overnight didn't dry very well.Credit cards cannot be used. The toilet and sink are located outside the room and are shared with other groups. It's half a floor up and down by stairs and there's no elevator, so you'll have to go up and down every time you go to the bathroom, which can be difficult if you're disabled. There are two washbasins on each floor (only one has a mirror).Overall, the facilities and bedding are old.The parking lot of the inn is a little far away, so the driver might be a bit troublesome.
