Neat, quiet and clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.Although it is a bit further from the beach, it is easily accessible by taxi. The taxis are also very affordable (especially compared to equivalent hotels closer to the beach).A tip for the hotel would be to set up a separate luggage room. At this time, bags left for a few hours are placed on the benches in the lobby (see photo 4). Although it is nice that this is possible, it would give a safer and more familiar feeling if the luggage could be stored behind a locked door, preferably with a name tag or ticket 🎟️.

El Barrio is a quiet oasis among the construction that is Umalas, right now. The design throughout is attractive and the beds might be the most comfortable I've had in a Bali hotel. While the rooms could be tight for two guests, they are great for a solo traveller. Excellent restaurants are less than a 10 minute walk. Enjoy!

Our stay at El Barrio was lovely! Gede and the other staff were such amazing hosts who met our every need! The rooms were comfortable although having a small desk would be great. The pillows could be a bit more firmer but otherwise, the bed was so comfy. The road to the hotel was pretty rocky but was a simple walk to a nearby convenience store, cafes/restaurants/boutiques. It was very quiet at night as well and we got a restful sleep. It was a great stay overall.

The hotel is cute, there are only a few rooms. The pool is also very clean. Only access if you bring a car is a bit narrow. But the car/bike parking area is quite spacious. The theme of the hotel is also very colorful and cute. Prices are also relatively cheap.

lovely place to stay in a very nice, quiet and convenient location. many good restaurants and shops just 2-3mins away. Gede is an amazing person and is so incredibly helpful with anything you need! the rooms are kept super clean, the villa is so beautiful and overall this is a really great place to stay in bali.

We had the most beautiful stay at El Barrio, the colour entrance and the villas were even better in person. The pink room was divine. It’s also close by to lovely cafes and places to eat just walking distance down the road. It was very relaxing next to the pool ordering cocktails and beers at the bar. What a magical little hidden gem. Loved our time here. 💗💓💗 Thank you Gede and the team.

I think the water quality is the best in Bali. It felt like Korean water, so I used it without a shower filter. The water didn't have any smell and I felt refreshed after washing. The children really liked the water in the swimming pool because it did not smell like chemicals and was transparent. Everyone seemed to be going out and having fun, but the rooms were full, but there were no people using the pool, so we had fun taking pictures as if we had rented the place. The owner is also very friendly and cheerfully says yes to any questions or requests. I took off the bedding and it was clean inside. However, do not eat food inside the room. It attracts ants. You are safe from ants as long as you do not eat food. It takes about 7 minutes to get to Finn's Beach Club by scooter. It's closer than you think, so you won't have any inconvenience if you use Go-Jek. For those coming as a family, we recommend the two-bedroom room.

The host Gede was really helpfull. The place is really nice decorated and has a good vibe. It is a clean place. The room is a little bit small, but was not a big deal. Thank you for the nice stay.

The most gorgeous, intimate and cozy hotel. The location is amazing it’s not so much in central canggu so it’s a lot less busy which is a good thing. Beds are extremely comfy, towels are thick and of good quality and Wi-Fi is good

This hotel is exceptional, everything is absolutely beautiful, design, calm, the colors are sublime and allow us to travel to the heart of Canggu.The room is very well decorated, small but well appointed, the bed is so comfortable.The staff is professional, caring and manages perfectly 🙌🏼🙏🏻I recommend 💯

Beautiful colourful hotel with a stunning pool! Very clean, super friendly staff and great customer service. Nice soft linen and thick towels. Bad soundproof and no desk in the standard room though. No filtered water refill for drink bottle. The location isn’t the best being behind the main streets. Also it’s soft opening and the kitchen isn’t running yet so no breakfast or food onsite yet. There are quite a few lovely cafes right outside on the main street though. Still room for improvements in the future but overall a lovely quiet place to stay.

We stayed in this hotel for a short week. The setting is super beautiful, a colorful ensemble and a pretty little swimming pool. Everything is aesthetic but only! The bedroom is very small and has only two small closets without shelves. Nothing is practical. The bathroom door does not close. The WiFi only works very poorly in the rooms. No cleaning service and the exterior insulation is very poor. As the hotel is very small everyone passes by each other's rooms so we hear everything...What saves this hotel is the kindness of the staff otherwise far too expensive for the quality!!

An exotic hotel with magnificent decoration that is out of the ordinary. Everything is super clean. All the staff are incredibly kind.Special mention for the mattress, it feels so good on it.This hotel is definitely worth the detour. GO FOR IT!

Great place! One of the coolest places i've stayed. We stayed at the two floor/ two room villa in the back, so i can't speak for the other rooms (which literally looked like just one small room and a bathroom )The staff were very nice, and the rooms and common areas were very clean!However unlike how advertised, the bar isn't actually active. Dunno if that was just temporary because it wasn't explained.Regardless, Its a convenient location that's a bit outside of the traffic area of canggu, so you can definitely get a car to your hotel to go south and just bike it to the popular areas. However, despite how beautiful the place is, It's surrounded by the trashiest neighborhood i've seen in bali. The hotel itself looks fine with a not a so bad view from your room, but once you step out, there's a lot of trash and sewage.So much i'm surprised the hotel has no bug problems, and the pool and drain water is so clear.Would be great if they found a cleaner neighborhood with a bigger venue so they could expand into it and get more people to stay. They obviously have something great going for them and i'd hate to see it wasted.If this was a normal hotel i would give it a two, but this place was just too cool to give it any lower than a four

El Barrio is very unique! Great experice, will definetly back for another stay!The issue :•parking space ramp too steep, (slippery for car/bikes).•don't have small makeup table and chair in each room.•no food available in the hotel area, becoz the cafe/resto not open yet.Other than that 3 issues, it is absolutely 100!!!

We stayed here for more than 5 nights and also returned several times when we went to Ubud and Labuan Bajo (Flores). The suitcases could be left standing every time and any questions we had were answered quickly and professionally. The staff is really great, very nice and helpful. Furthermore, the hotel is perfect, everything works properly and is really 12 out of 10 clean. It also turned out to be only 6/7 weeks old. We are going to recommend this to everyone in our circle to sleep here when you are in Changgu.
