Kutsuno Onsen is one of the Yudanaka Onsen Villages. It is located further inside Shibu Onsen. There are many public baths used by locals. I used the day trip bath at this ryokan. …

I was welcomed by the warm owner, and my overall satisfaction was high. Day-trip baths are reserved for hourly use, so it's best to call ahead to confirm availability.

I've been going there two or three times a year for the past 12 years. It all started when I went to take pictures of monkeys in Jigokudani. You will feel like you have returned to your hometown. Relieve knee pain in the 24-hour hot spring bath, and experience the joy of the four seasons with local beer and delicious home-cooked meals from your wife. This is a very nice inn, with the mountains of lingering snow in the background, apple orchards, rapeseed fields, and Obuse nearby.

If you would like to take a day trip bath on weekdays, it is best to contact us in advance to confirm. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get in, but the host was very nice, so I'd like to visit again.

I found this inn by chance on a map, but I have become a repeat customer and have stayed here twice this winter. This is a homely inn where the cheerful proprietress and her family always welcome you warmly. Both dinner and breakfast seem to have a lot of special touches, and the seasonal ingredients are delicious, and the rice is homemade sun-dried rice, making it a special dish that you won't find anywhere else (the 300 yen hot sake is also great). Also, unlike Shibu Onsenkyo, you can park in front of the inn, and it is quiet at night. There are no holiday fees, and 8,000 yen for one night and two meals is very satisfying.

When I visited the Tamamura main store, I was looking for a day trip hot spring nearby, but the private facility I was looking for was closed on that day, so I asked several of the inns I was passing by, and they happily agreed to offer me a hot spring for 500 yen. I received hot water. It felt good. The bathroom is not as large as a specialty facility, but there is an open-air bath, and above all, I was very satisfied with the real pleasure of traveling. It felt very homey, and on the way home we had a drink and the host couple told us many stories about the local area. It's a very good memory.
