I was a little worried because there were various reviews, but it's a retro Showa inn. You can't drive here, it's on a steep slope and it's difficult to unload your luggage, the road to the parking lot is narrow and difficult, and it's a road for light trucks, so it's best to stay away from anything other than light vehicles. The roads in the hot spring town are narrow and difficult. The outdoor bath takes about a minute, but it's so hot that I can't get into it. When adding water, it is always a good idea to ask if someone is present. The source of trouble. Locals seem to like it hot. Is this an inn for foreigners? Husbands and wives should quit.

What a wonderful host Seiko is. She is full of kindness and probably the most hard working person I have ever met. Not a fancy stay but humble and comfortable enough. What we hoped for. Thank you Seiko, your heart is certainly in your home and the way you treat your guests. Thank you. For a stay without the bells and whistles we definitely recommend Miyasakaya 宮坂屋.

A cozy inn by the oldest onsen in town and less than 2mins walk from the shops. Shared bathrooms weren't bad either, the host was kind and explained us everything we need before hand. The fire festival is a treat to watch and our host was kind enough to provide us with invitations. Let me not the low rating fool you.

The Inn is cozy and the rooms were nice and clean! The heater was working well too, unsure why it had such low rating. We came in expecting the worst but were very pleasantly surprised! Please do not go in expecting a luxury stay, this is a small cozy inn with shared bath and homey feel. It is in prime location and the owner was kind enough to extend us invitation to the local festival which we enjoyed attending and was the highlight of our stay in Nozawaonsen. There is a cool onsen (it is the oldest and most ornate one in Nozawa) nearby where you can walk (it's 4-5 houses down) for a bath as well. there was an english speaking holiday help they had during busy season who was kind enough to explain us everything- the host also speaks good english btw if you're concerned about communication. The owner was really kind to us and we would definitely stay here again next time we visit! The location is central and close to the main street, very walkable to ski spots, bus stop and festival grounds!

I was stunned and speechless 🫨🫨🫨🫨🫨I have used guesthouses, inns, etc. all over the place, but I never thought there would be a guesthouse like this. About the parking lotI called because I wanted to ask, but I was told that there would be a fee if I made a reservation through Booking.com, so I was told to make a reservation directly over the phone.❷I couldn't park on the steep slope, so I had to walk up the slope for about 10 minutes to park at a parking lot.❸ My eyes widened when I was told there was no bath 😱😱❹I was persistently asked to go to a nearby pub. When I refused, he even called me abusive and called me stingy 😱😱❺There is no refrigerator or air conditioner in the room.❻Anyway, it seems like I don't want to pay the electricity bill or water bill, and it's extremely noisy, which makes me mentally tired.❼I was surprised that she reluctantly used the microwave.❽The refrigerator at the entrance is only allowed to be used until 8 p.m.Drinks such as kurezu and canned chuhai were also served.❾Wi-Fi is also useless and cuts out quickly.❿At the end of the day, when I was about to leave around 8am,I had to wait for about 20 minutes unattended 😱😱*As long as we are operating by taking lodging fees, the minimum amount isI want you to do service and work.Do you know the difference between Sekoi and Saving? There have also been incidents of people losing cash at other hotels. Is it a problem of regional characteristics or humanity?Nozawa Onsen has a bad reputation 😡😡😡😡😡

Worst facility I've ever stayed at! ️I don't want to wear ⭐️ either.I can't take a bath in summer, and I'm reluctant to take a shower. There is no air conditioner in this hot weather. It's really impossible because I'm staying there cheaply.I wonder if there are many people like this in Nozawa Onsen.Well, this isn't going to happen.bad image
