We stayed here in January 2024, it was outstanding. Tried booking for January 2025 but unfortunately it was fully booked. I do hope our alternative accommodation can live up to the standard here, but I doubt it.

It is convenient to take the Nozawa Onsen Liner bus (¥600) from JR Iiyama Station (Shinkansen). (Arrive at Nozawa Onsen Central Terminal in about 25 minutes)↓You can reach Nozawaya in about 5 minutes by foot on the slope. We do not sell souvenirs at the inn, so we recommend purchasing some at the shop at Iiyama Station or at Sankuro Shoten on the way up the slope.Alcohol is available at dinner, but if you wish to drink in your room, it is best to bring your own or purchase at a liquor store along the way.I heard that this guesthouse is run by a family, and the inside of the inn is clean, probably because it has just been renovated. For smoking, there is an ashtray outside the entrance. There are handrails on the steps in the building, so even those who are a little unsteady on their feet will be able to stay with peace of mind.During the winter season, there is also a room for dry storage of boards and boards for skiers and snowboarders. This inn is unique in that it serves dishes made with freshly harvested home-grown vegetables grown in the fields.I was led to a room with fluffy futons already spread out in a spacious tatami room. (I am grateful for your consideration)bathroomThere is no open-air bath, but there are three washing areas in the men's bath, and the size of the bathtub means that about 4 to 5 people can take a bath at a time. When you enter the changing room, there is a smell of sulfur. The Nozawa Onsen bathtub is hot water. If you don't like boiling water, I think it's best to dilute it with a little water and carefully dip into the bath little by little.Handrails have been installed to accommodate the steps in the bathtub.dinnerDinner is at 6pm.Alcohol is also available in a reasonable amount. (Beer, local sake, chuhai, wine, etc.)I ordered the rare red shiso chuhai. I think it's fragrant and more delicious than commercially available shiso shochu. It is a fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine that has been carefully crafted. The husband brings refills of rice each time. When I asked for a large refill, she brought it to me in a large chazuke bowl, and I thanked her for her consideration. The overall taste is bland, making it a meal that appeals to a wide range of generations, young and old. What I particularly liked was:↓coldRokuken Shimizu, the famous water of Nozawa Onsen. It is delicious water that is famous for its water. My son-in-law came all the way in his car to fetch water.cooked riceKoshihikari. It is soft, glossy, fluffy and deliciously cooked.soupBlack abalone mushrooms, triangle-cut firm tofu, and home-grown ginger are a nice accent.Fried MusettaMusetta is said to be a phantom mushroom. It tastes more like fried soft chicken skin than mushrooms.Pickled cucumber and eelThe fresh cucumbers and sweet sambai vinegar go so well with the eel, it's delicious.Cabbage rolls with black abalone mushroomsIt has grilled shishito peppers on top.Cabbage rolls are soft and have a refreshing taste.I have the impression that it is well made.Shinshu salmon carpaccioIs Shinshu salmon the so-called Shinshu specialty trout? It has a good flavor that is easy to eat with fresh trout sashimi and vegetables such as fresh sunny lettuce.ChawanmushiContains mushrooms, crab sticks, green peas, etc.The texture is like colander tofu, and the taste is like cheese gratin, which is exquisite.Grilled round eggplant yolkThe yolk of a soft-boiled egg is placed in the middle of the sweet and spicy Shinshu miso sauce. It is eaten mixed with half-boiled yolk, but since the eggplant is fresh, it does not have the characteristic eggplant odor.It has a strong flavor, so I think it's perfect for alcohol drinkers.Grilled chicken with apple sauceServed with sweet potato and red paprika. The chicken is probably thigh meat. It's soft, and the apple tastes like light miso, so it doesn't interfere with the grilled chicken. It was light and I devoured it in one go.chestnut ice creamIt's homemade ice cream and is hard, but it has a flavor similar to Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc. It's not too sweet, so it may suit the tastes of elderly people.Other than that, I was impressed with how carefully and skillfully the fresh Kogomi spring rolls, such as Kogomi's fresh spring rolls made by quickly boiling Kogomi harvested in the spring in Nozawa Onsen and then frozen, and the lotus root manju, were carefully made.breakfastThe vegetable salad was fresh and delicious, but I particularly liked the fried egg, grilled eggplant, and miso soup.TamagoyakiThe soup stock is effective and has a gentle flavor. It's delicious and tastes like it was made by a Japanese chef.grilled eggplantIt's fresh and has a refreshing taste.Autumn eggplant is so delicious that it is said to be ◯◯.miso soupThe seasoning with Shinshu white miso is just right. It has a lot of ingredients, including daikon radish, wakame seaweed, and tofu.I love miso soup made by farmers like this with lots of vegetable ingredients. The fig mousse for dessert is simple and delicious, with the sweet figs and mousse matching well.Unfortunately it was raining so I didn't visit the outdoor baths,When I woke up the next morning, the wounds that had been healing had turned into scabs, the back pain I was suffering with had subsided, and my skin was smooth.Nozawa Onsen is said to be a famous hot spring. If I have a chance to visit next time, I would like to visit during the spring season to enjoy the wild vegetable tempura. Thanks to you, we had a comfortable and satisfying stay.Thank you very much.

The appearance of the hotel is relatively old, but the rooms can be seen to have been renovated. They are new, clean and comfortable. The rooms are equipped with separate toilets, which is very convenient. The hotel owner & staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered a dinner and breakfast during our stay. The staff also translated the menu into Chinese, making it easy for us to understand the content. It was a really happy detail.

Absolutely wonderful inn.- Rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. Either newly renovated or extremely well maintained.- The food is incredible and there's a big variety.- Onsen is simple but great.- Location is excellent too, super close to the centre of town, and a short walk to the Nagasaka gondola. Most importantly, the hosts are so warm, friendly, and helpful. We arrived late on the first night and they helped walk our friend to his other hotel. Also, after I injured my knee while skiing, they went out of their way to accommodate me, even giving me anti-inflammatory tapes. We will definitely be back!!

The family at the B&B is super cute, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. It's a pity that we don't have the opportunity to have dinner at the B&B, but the B&B grandpa will recommend delicious restaurants. The owner of the B&B enthusiastically introduced the environment of the hot spring village and taught us how to get to the ski resort the fastest. It is a B&B that is very considerate of its guests. The accommodation experience in the room is 100%. I really like the Japanese style feeling. I was completely surprised when I entered the door. I really like how cute and talkative my grandpa is. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Nozawa Onsen, thank you Tomii!

We had an amazing stay here. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent (5 min walk to Yu Moving Road). We had two breakfasts and one dinner here, and all of the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend Oyado Nozawaya to anyone looking to spend time in Nozawa Onsen.

I’ve always wanted to go to Nozawa Onsen! !My wish came true. I was desperately trying to find a place to stay, but I ended up staying at Nozawaya.Decided! We received a warm welcome from the whole family, and the elaborate dishes for dinner were especially wonderful, including the melty homemade eggplant mapo eggplant, homemade rice, and the vegetables that everyone had made! !A wonderful dish made with love.It was so much that I couldn't finish it.The room is also very clean and flows from outside. The sound like water will soothe you. After conquering 13 outdoor baths, the first true hot spring is Taki no Yu.I liked it.Next up is Nozawa Village, where there are so many hot springs. Each person has their own favorite outdoor bath.I’d love to hear it!The bath in the basement of the inn also has hot water gushing out.The hot springs are also exquisite. All water is fed directly from the source, so I'm envious of Nozawa Village. I enjoyed a year's worth of hot springs in two days. I would love to hear from you again.

This is an inn where you can relax both mind and body.We were soothed by the indoor bath and rejuvenated by cooking meals made with home-grown vegetables and rice. It was my first time to visit Nozawa Onsen, but I was able to stay at a nice inn. I would also like to thank you for your help.
