An affordable snow lodge with nicer amenities than I expected. The bath was fantastic and the whole place feels cozy, like you're staying at a family's ski winter getaway. The rooms are spacious with the traditional futon. The bathrooms are shared on each floor , and the shower and baths are at the bottom floor with slightly restricted opening hours open 7-9am then open 3.30pm until around 10 at night. There are some small common areas, one of which has a collection of Japanese language manga that you can read through.

Thank you for staying with me when I was traveling alone. A ★5 rating for service is from my point of view, as I just want a clean, quiet room and bath and leave the rest alone. We do not recommend this hotel to those who are looking for the same level of service as a regular hot spring inn.

Accommodation for using Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. The people at the hostel were so refreshing and warm that it made me feel good.Although there is a time limit for the indoor bath, which is open from 15:00 to 22:00, it was nice to be able to spend a relaxing time. There was a hair dryer in the bathroom, and I was able to use it right away, and I didn't feel that it was too old to be difficult to use.The room had towels, bath towels, a safe, and tea and sweets.Since we arrived around 7pm, they also provided a futon for us.After checking out, I was able to keep my luggage and change my clothes. There is hot water for making tea and small snacks in front of the front desk, which is helpful. There was also a place to store skis, a drying room, and a vending machine. If there is one drawback, it is the location of the smoking area. The entrance where you enter after smoking is close to the stairs, so the smell rose to the top and was unpleasant. It was a shame since smoking is not allowed inside the building.I stayed without meals, so I don't know about breakfast or dinner.

The owner is so lovely, thoughtful and welcoming. Lots of homey touches around the property, clean bathrooms, showers and onsen. The room was well sized for 4 people and within walking distance to Nozawaonsen Ski Resort! Will definitely be staying again when we come back for a visit next time!
