Private rooms, clean facilities, plenty of parking (at the back entrance) and a unique experience staying in a school with a view. Special shout out to Nao-san who checked us in and gave us excellent tips for the local area - we followed all her advice for Yamadera and Ginzan Onsen, and even the local ramen joint she recommended was solid!Keep in mind there are four flights of stairs to get from the dorms to the amenities on the ground floor. Bagel was tasty at breakfast (¥550).

I booked accommodation here due to budget considerations. After actually arriving on site, I discovered that the available public spaces are very limited and have usage time restrictions. Most of the spaces are shared with local organizations. Outsiders often come to the entrance of the accommodation and look in. Looking around, I felt uncomfortable while resting inside. (Note: There is no elevator in this building, so you have to carry all your luggage up to the third floor by yourself)In addition, the sound insulation is extremely poor. Because the dormitory is a converted classroom, there are no partitions on the ceilings on both sides of the room. The floor and bed boards are also very old wood. Anyone who walks around will still make sounds no matter how light their steps are. And many travelers are... I couldn't book accommodation at Ginzan Hot Spring and chose to stay here overnight, so I usually got up early. Around six o'clock in the morning, I would be so disturbed by people packing their luggage that I couldn't sleep. One more thing that must be reminded is that the bathing and toilet areas are on the first floor, and the room is on the third floor. When you want to go to the toilet at night, the entire corridor on the first floor will be dark. People who are timid or sensitive are welcome. Think twice (I heard locals say that supernatural incidents have happened in the school before), of course it doesn’t matter if you don’t care. In summary, it is suitable for people with a limited budget and who are not afraid of trouble or noise. The biggest highlight of the entire stay was the beautiful mountain view outside the window. The scenery was different from morning to night. The location was convenient and the reception staff were kind. It's a pity that Murayama City only has hotels next to the station to choose from. Since there are no competitors with very high prices, I suggest that those who pay attention to sleep quality and have budget considerations can find accommodation in the nearby Hikane City or Tendo City.

If I come to Yamagata again, I would like to stay there again. There's a restaurant nearby that I'm interested in, so I'd like to stay there for a few nights and stop by there as well.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Famicom. There are various spaces within Link Murayama, and we were able to enjoy a variety of things. It was a bit hot in the room, so I would appreciate it if it was a little cooler...🙇

It's clean, reasonably priced, well located, and very comfortable. A cafe, a bagel shop, a pizza shop, and a co-working space are all in the same building, making it very convenient.
