I wanted to go to Ginzan Onsen, so I was looking at the vacancies every day and happened to find one available. Although it is a very historical inn in Ginzan Onsen, the interior is beautiful and the elevator is fast, so I didn't have any trouble staying there. It may be difficult if you have bad legs, as you need to climb high stairs only to get to the bath with a view. This time I stayed in the annex, and the room was spacious and clean. The ceiling is very high, allowing you to use the room in a spacious manner.Above all, the food was extremely delicious. There are many places where you can eat seafood, but this is the first time I've experienced a place where I can eat mountain food so deliciously. I was very impressed by the healthy yet flavorful dishes such as mushroom dishes and tofu dishes.I don't know if I'll have another chance to stay at this super popular inn, but I definitely want to visit again (I forgot to bring my secret hot spring meeting stamp rally card...)

When we arrived at Notoya's designated parking lot by car, a person in charge was waiting for us, and while they loaded our luggage onto a light truck and took it to the inn, we walked and enjoyed the scenery. The person who carried my luggage was very kind and I was grateful. The people at the inn were also kind and it became a good memory ✨

It is said to be an inn where you can experience Taisho romance to the fullest, and was used as a filming location for the drama "Oshin." With only 15 rooms available, competition is extremely high and reservations are extremely difficult. This time, we secured it at the same time as the reception started six months ago! After waiting for half a year, he finally came.On the day of your visit, take the hotel's free shuttle bus from JR Oishida Station to Ginzan Onsen in about 20 minutes. The area is a landscape that makes you feel as if you have traveled back in time. This scenery alone is worth the visit. Among them, our inn stands at the farthest end.Ginzan Onsen is a high-quality hot spring with a sulfur smell, and our inn has a large public bath as well as a bath with a view, and it feels great to climb up 85 steps and take a bath overlooking the waterfall! The temperature seemed to be around 40 to 42 degrees, which is comfortable for everyone. The meals were full of simplicity, with a variety of local dishes that made use of locally produced ingredients.Overall, I can say that I was able to fully enjoy Yamagata's local cuisine. It was impressive that carp dishes were served for dinner. Also, the Obanazawa beef shabu-shabu was a dish that could only be tasted locally, and the imoni had a simple taste. The next morning's meal will probably be radish rice. Even the menu and taste evoked Taisho romance, making for a deeply moving meal and stay.At this inn, you don't expect any service, but rather a place where you can relax for a while while admiring the atmosphere and scenery. It is a place I would like to visit again when I have time.

I happened to reserve a space on the website. Although it was an annex, the room had high ceilings and was comfortable. |There was so much food that I couldn't finish both breakfast and dinner. …

Among the popular Ginzan Onsen, this is a popular inn with a long history (the building is a registered tangible cultural property) and a quaint atmosphere. The reviews are very high and it is difficult to make reservations. When I was checking Notoya's website around May, I happened to find a 10 tatami Japanese-style room facing the river available, so I immediately made a reservation and the two of us stayed there in July. When making a reservation, I asked for a shuttle bus to Oishida Station on the Shinkansen and was taken to Shiroganebashi, a hot spring town. An employee will also carry your luggage from there to your accommodation. The room is a large room facing the river and has a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff's service was warm and friendly, making me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The meals were mainly Japanese, which suited us very well and was delicious. I told them when I made the reservation that I don't like carp dishes, so they asked me to substitute another dish.Breakfast was also good in quantity and content.Naturally, the hot springs are fed directly from the source, and in addition to the large public bath, there are also private open-air baths and cave baths that you reserve at check-in. Please leave the key to the private open-air bath at the front desk and go up the long stairs from the 2nd floor of the annex. You can also see Shirogane Falls. The townscape has a wonderful atmosphere, so you can spend a relaxing time here.It was an inn I would definitely like to stay at again.

This is Notoya Ryokan in Ginzan Onsen. Founded in 1892, this is a long-established wooden three-story inn. This inn is a symbol of Ginzan Onsen and has been designated as a nationally registered cultural property.[Ginzan Onsen]This is a nostalgic hot spring town in Obanazawa City, Yamagata Prefecture that retains the vestiges of Taisho romance. The name Ginzan Onsen originates from the Nobesawa Ginzan Silver Mine, where silver ore was discovered during the Muromachi period and flourished as Kogiyama during the Edo period. In the Taisho period, there were hot spring resorts (hot spring resorts where people stayed for long periods of time for the purpose of healing) that were lined with wooden one-story and two-story inns with thatched roofs, but in 1913, Most of the hot spring inns were washed away by the great floods of the mountains and rivers. In 1926, a large amount of high-temperature hot water gushed out through drilling, and all the inns were simultaneously rebuilt into Western-style three- to four-story wooden structures. After the war, the Western style of the hot spring town subsided, and the exterior became more Japanese-style.Currently, it is attracting attention as a hot spring town with three- and four-story wooden inns lined up along both banks of the Ginzan River, inviting visitors to the old days.

Founded in 1891.A three-story wooden structure completed in 1920.The building is a nationally designated registered cultural property and is nostalgic. This building is a symbol of Ginzan Onsen. The silhouette looks like a scene from an anime. It's very difficult to make reservations so I'm happy to be able to go.Rooms facing the river in the main building offer a view of the hot spring town through the windows, and the appearance changes with the passage of time, which is impressive. It's a scene that has been repeated for a long time. The temperature of the hot spring source is about 65 degrees. Naturally flowing water from the source without adding water or heating. There are three bath patterns.A large public bath, a cave bath, and an open-air bath in the mountains.Reservations are required for the cave and open-air bath.Particularly, the cave bath is a must-do as it is said to be close to the original. There are no supplies to wash your body, so you just have to soak. The room is large, with a separate bedroom and living room. There is plenty of room for each. The view from the window is especially special. The staff who guide you around are cheerful and give you the feel of an old hot spring town. The meal was prepared in a private dining room, so I was able to eat slowly.Lots of local cuisine.I was surprised that the building had an elevator.
