My wife and I stayed at this Temple Hotel. The experience was simply wonderful and surreal. The monk and all the staff were one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. The food was delicious and the level of details were incredible. Spacious room and amenities. We had our wedding/blessing here, all arranged by the hotel, the outcome couldn’t have been better, it really exceeded our expectations.The monk takes you to the Kuon-ji temple ceremony in the morning and gives you a tour of the temple premises which was amazing.If you want to experience an authentic temple/hotel stay, this is the place. The monk and all the staff really put their heart in the service.

It was the best.Only my family stayed that day, and the room was spacious (living room + bedroom).Dinner and breakfast were also really delicious.It’s a temple meal that’s better prepared and more delicious than most kaiseki meals. There is no meat, but the fish and other ingredients are really fresh.You can participate in the temple program in the morning and evening, but in the morning. Although I had to leave by 4:50, it was a more satisfying program than I expected. You can go to Gionji Temple and observe the Buddhist temple ritual, and even if you don't know Japanese, you can enjoy the sights and meditate to the rhythm. In addition, he introduces Gion magazine and Shimanovo in great detail (interpretation).They even sent me off, and I was satisfied with everything.It was a temple stay that I want to go back to.Although a lot of Westerners come to these temple stays, even East Asians who participate here are very satisfied. Don't hesitate.
