The facilities and food are also bad. Pilgrims should avoid it if possible.

Minshuku Azusa is a very unique place, and was one of the better values I encountered during my two months in Shikoku. Inconspicuously tucked away behind the owner's udon restaurant, it appears to have once been a private home that housed a small barber shop, and remains a bit cluttered with random furniture and personal items. It's a bit disorganized, but not messy. The sleeping room itself was a basic Japanese style 8-mat bedroom with television, aircon, and the like. A washing machine and dryer are available outside. The food served was quite good, as one might expect from a minshuku owned by the master of an udon shop. All told, a night's lodging in what amounted to a private, multi-room house came to 5300 yen and included (6:30 am) breakfast and dinner.
