Nightmare stay – should be avoided at all costsI recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately it was one of the worst I have experienced. When we arrived, we were shown to a dusty room with old and broken furniture. The floor was so weak that it looked like it would break when I walked on it. The check-in process was standard, but it would be vastly improved with online booking. Adding to the eerie atmosphere were the stuffed animals displayed in the room. This hotel needs demolition. It was in terrible condition, dusty, moldy and just an old building. The room locks are old, probably from the Taisho era, and offer no real security. You can't even lock your room when you go out, which is unacceptable. The floor was equally worrying, the futon was old and dusty, there was no clock, a small TV and no air conditioning.I met the only staff member and she seemed hardworking and honest. However, even that could not make up for the hotel's numerous deficiencies. The food served was decent, but nothing to write home about. The location was a logistical nightmare, with long-term road construction forcing us through dangerous narrow mountain roads.Overall, my impression of the hotel was very low. The best part of our stay was finally being able to leave, but the room's view of the stream was a slight saving grace. The private bath was uncomfortable, had sharp edges, and came out with hot water that couldn't be adjusted.I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The Geneva Conventions prohibit such inhumane treatment, even of my worst enemies. There is no Wi-Fi, and it is not uncommon for there to be no cell phone signal at all. The noise outside at night was distracting and the squeaky floor made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The door height is too low for anyone over 180cm, the shared unheated toilet is very inconvenient, and the switch is across the hallway. Additionally, there is only one shared fridge, so if another guest takes your drink, you're out of luck.In short, this hotel should be avoided at all costs!A Nightmarish Stay – Avoid at All CostsI recently stayed at this hotel and regrettably, it was one of the worst experiences I've had.Upon arrival, we were led to a dusty room filled with old, broken furniture, and the flooring was weakened and threatening to break open under the weight of walking on it. The check-in process was standard, but it could be greatly improved with online booking options. To add to the unsettling atmosphere, the room was decorated with taxidermied animals, which only breath the creepiness. The hotel itself is in dire need of demolition. The food served was passable but forgettable. The location was a logistical nightmare, with long-term road construction forcing guests to navigate dangerously narrow mountain roads.Overall, my impression of the hotel was extremely low. The best part of my stay was finally leaving, although the view of the small river running by our room was a slight redeeming quality. I used it for a day trip lunch plan on Sunday.I was impressed by the hostess's hospitality. This is out of concern for my 83 year old mother.Although it is not barrier-free, consideration was given to us from the reservation stage. I was able to visit with peace of mind and enjoy meals, hot springs, and a short nap. Thanks to that, I was able to have a filial piety to my parents. thank you very much.

It's been about 10 years, but I used it on a family trip to Korankei with my dog. I was able to enjoy the building and the wonderful surrounding scenery where you can experience the Taisho-Showa era in a mountain village deep from the national highway. It was an inn that I would like to come back to again, as it was a comfortable stay that I probably can't experience these days.
