It's a very nice hotel. Located in Asuke Town, which is famous for its quaint townscape, it is an old house that was renovated from scratch, so you can feel the good parts of an old Japanese house and the newness. The first floor is a cafe and kitchen, and the second floor is a guest room, and the toilets (there are two) and the open-air bath or shower room are shared (but of course can be locked). There is also a kitchen, with most cooking utensils, minimum tableware, and seasonings, so I think it would be fun to cook here. All rooms except the dormitory (which has bunk beds and can accommodate up to 4 people) are private rooms that can be locked, so you can maintain your privacy. There is a curfew, and when the time comes, the caring owner returns to his residence a little further away, but you can also go out at night or early in the morning through a lockable back door. The air was clean on my morning walk! The breakfast is also exquisite, with the slightly bluish taste of the eggs, the miso soup with lots of toppings, and the flavorful pickles (there is also a Western-style menu if you don't like egg-cooked rice). To be honest, I would like to go back again just for breakfast. There are Japanese sweets shops in Asuke Town and scenic tourist spots nearby, so it is recommended as a base for sightseeing in Asuke. This is a very nice hotel. Located in Asuke-cho, a town famous for its traditional atmosphere, the hotel was renovated from scratch from an old house, so you can feel both the good parts of an old Japanese house and its cleanliness and newness . The first floor is a cafe and kitchen, and the second floor is for the guests. There are two toilets and an open-air bath or shower room that are shared (but of course lockable). There is also a kitchen with most cooking tools and a minimum of dishes, cups and seasonings, so I think it would be fun to cook here.Except for the dormitory rooms (which have bunk beds and can accommodate up to 4 people), the other rooms are private rooms that can be locked, so you can keep your private space. There is a curfew, and the owner (she understands English ) will return to his home a short distance away when the time comes, but you can also go out at night or early in the morning through the lockable kitchen door. The air was beautiful for a morning walk!Breakfast is also excellent, with a slightly blue egg (tamago-kake-gohan, TKG), lots of ingredients-miso soup, and flavorful pickles sinking in (there is also a Western-style menu for those who don't like TKG) Frankly, I would go back just for breakfast. With Asuke-cho Japanese sweets shops and scenic sightseeing spots in the neighborhood, we recommend it as a base for sightseeing in Asuke.
