My wife and I stayed in Shinonome on the 2nd floor to visit Togakushi Shrine. The main building is a lodging house built in the Edo period, and is an old-fashioned building with a fine Shinto altar enshrined there, but there are only two guest rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors in a separate tower that has been renovated, with a Japanese-style room, washroom, bedroom, and relaxing space. It was stylish and relaxing. The baths are in a separate location, but each room was reserved for private use, and the baths were large and comfortable enough for 4-5 people, so I was able to take a bath in the morning as well. The meals were luxurious and elaborate, making it hard to believe that we were deep in the mountains. The ingredients were luxurious, including fresh rockfish and melt-in-your-mouth Shinshu beef, and the cooking and utensils were also special. At the end, I was able to choose freshly made Togakushi soba, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The inn was full of benefits, like a lodging inn, where you could enjoy sacred sake before meals, have votive tablets offered to you, and even receive amulets. It seems like it's hard to get a reservation, but I'd like to make a repeat appointment as soon as possible.

Anyway, I was able to relax. The rooms were clean, the dining area was an elegant Japanese-style room with a thatched roof, the baths were reserved for each room, and the food and drinks were delicious. And the landlady, as everyone has pointed out, is friendly and attentive. He taught us many things about Togakushi to those of us who were new to Togakushi.Although it was raining, the atmosphere was quiet (although I could occasionally hear the hostess's cheerful laughter), and I was able to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a while.I would like to visit you again when the time comes.

The landlady was friendly, the room was very spacious, and it was a luxurious inn. It looked like a historic inn, but it seemed to be well maintained. It was great to be able to rent it out anytime! !

I had a wonderful time listening to the hostess's personality, the wonderful food, the taste of the historical buildings, and the story of the separation of Shinto and Buddhism. We were able to relax and enjoy tea in the renovated entrance hall with larger windows.I really appreciated the consideration given to the cold winter weather. I know what a luxury it is to be able to go every year.

Every day, only two groups were allowed to take a bath, and the bath was private and we were able to use it without anyone noticing. The food was so much that I couldn't finish it.
