The town of Shiraoi is lined with new buildings and shops, perhaps due to the influence of Upopoy.

This inn was started by three generations ago around 1957.Although it is close to the station and can be used cheaply, it is more of an inn for business travelers.It has been inherited to this day, and there is also a fourth generation (planned) who is already 2 years old, who sometimes runs around the museum energetically (and gets scolded when he gets caught).There are about 10 rooms, all on the second floor, and can accommodate up to 30 people.When I go to sleep, the noise from the outside is low enough that I can hear trains passing in the distance if I open the windows.The pillows are a little small and may be difficult for some people to sleep on. If you are concerned about this, you may want to bring your own pillow.The toilet and bath are separate from the room, and there is only one bath on the first floor, so you may have to compromise when it is crowded.However, some people may have a strong sense of resistance.The toilet had a heated toilet seat on the first floor.Dinner is served from 18:00 to 20:00 and breakfast is served from 7:00 to 8:00.It is possible to order only breakfast, and for dinner, our hotel is not bad at all, but it is best to go to Kawasho for dinner if you are a connoisseur.Free Wi-Fi is also available.Although the equipment is generally old, a large massage chair was installed in the entrance hall around 2020.During the winter season (from around November), a heating fee of approximately 550 yen will be charged separately.For details, please contact Ogita Ryokan.
