2024/9 VisitEnjoy a relaxing time at a wonderful inn.There was only one other group, so we were able to relax as we had almost a private room.The owner welcomed us and told us about the rooms, baths, dining area, and the birds that come to visit.It was a wonderful memory. thank you very much.[Room]The tatami room was clean and there was nothing to worry about.[Bath]There was an open-air bath with hot water outside, and both men's and women's baths were bathed in shifts. The open-air bath can be dangerous if it's dark, so we recommend that you take a bath as soon as you arrive.【meal】The dinner was a Western course, and the breakfast was Japanese, which was very delicious.

Second visit in 2 yearsA wonderful auberge surrounded by the relaxing and quiet nature of Yamakei.Grilled amberjack and steamed yamame trout in white wine are unique specialties.The bath is spacious, and the open-air bath is wonderful and full of rustic charm. We recommend coming in the morning.

Memorable ryokan experience, the hosts were incredibly kind and did everything to make sure it was a comfortable stay. It is located in a secluded vale and tucked away amongst tall trees and serene scenery. I departed during a snowstorm and they even drove together with me down the mountain to make sure I was safe. Thank you!

This is an auberge that has been running for over 25 years near Yamakei. Although the cuisine uses French techniques, there are also Japanese-style dishes, giving it a homely atmosphere.There are hot springs and open-air baths for both men and women, and there are only a few rooms so you can take a relaxing bath.After all, fireflies are a must-see in Yamakei, and in June there is a firefly viewing plan where the owner will drive you to places where you can see fireflies. It's moving to see fireflies dancing wildly.

This is a hot spring inn located in a scenic area. All rooms are separate buildings, so you can relax without worrying about the neighboring rooms. The friendly owner told us a lot about Yabakei. I think the fall foliage season is popular, but around June you can be guided to firefly viewing spots, so if you have the chance, definitely go.

Spring has arrived♪ I can hear birds chirping all around me. This is a nice inn that is one with nature.The baths are nice and the French food is delicious!You can enjoy the changes with each season.It's convenient because it's within an hour from Yufuin and Beppu.

I stayed here on a solo trip to Yabakei.If you arrive late, some people may get lost on the streets at night, so we recommend arriving early.(Also, the parking lot is small)When you enter the room, there is a kotatsu (Japanese kotatsu) and it feels warm. It reminds me of my parents' home.Even though it was the end of March, it was chilly at night, so it was a great relief.We could also see beautiful peach blossoms from our room. (You can see cherry blossoms depending on the room)Dinner is French cuisine.Everything was very delicious.I'm thankful for the glass of wine at a very reasonable price 🍷Breakfast is pure Japanese food.The menu focuses on locally grown wild plants and vegetables that will soothe your mind and body.The rice was glossy and very delicious!The large public bath has an indoor bath and an outdoor bath.As someone who likes open-air baths, I was thinking of relaxing in the bath while looking at the night sky, but it was much darker than I expected, so I got a little scared and quickly returned to the indoor bath.I went there the next morning for revenge, and although I was soothed by the natural scenery and the chirping of birds, I ended up not being able to take a long bath because it was too open and I felt uneasy.I guess it's because I don't usually go to places where I can enjoy this kind of privacy...It was nice to be able to get a small beer after taking a bath!Also, in addition to yukata, they also provided samue, which was a big plus!The staff are all very kind and treat you with a reasonable distance.When I checked out, I was given information on how to go sightseeing in the area, and I was able to enjoy my subsequent trip!

We had a relaxing time with our family of four.The food was very delicious, and since Yabakei was dry in winter, I wanted to see the autumn leaves and fresh greenery of Yabakei next time.It's great for families, but it may also be perfect for those traveling alone.There were two open-air baths, but I didn't notice them (my wife apparently noticed the next morning and went to the upper open-air bath as well.The road gets a little scary at night, so I think it's best to arrive early.

It was very relaxing.The food was delicious, personally the shrimp appetizer and brûlée dessert were the best👍I don't like tomato-based soups (sour) and fish patterns, so I thought I wouldn't be able to make Yamame soup, but I was able to finish it all 🍴😋I also asked for a second helping of bread, so I was full.The system was to take a bath after eating.We had another group with us, and perhaps by the kindness of the restaurant, the food was served at a different time, so we were able to relax in the hot springs for a short period of time.After taking a bath, there was cold water available in the lobby, so I was able to drink it freely and relax.Apparently you can also order drinks here after taking a bath.A drink after taking a bath 🍺The hot spring effect made my skin smooth and smooth.The staff at the store were friendly and made me feel very welcome.However, the road to the parking lot and the parking lot were narrow, so I gave it 4 stars.
