The rice was very delicious! It was so gorgeous that it couldn't be captured in the photo. I also used the family bath, which was made of cypress and was a great way to relieve the fatigue from the trip.

You can have the unique experience of staying in a traditional thatched building. The building is old, but the inside is clean and comfortable. It is run by a husband and wife team, and the food was delicious and the customer service was courteous. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated and is very clean, so I was able to use it as a family bath.

I stayed here because I wanted to stay in a gassho-style building.Bath and toilet are shared. The meal feels like a mountain meal. very delicious. From the outside, it looks like a gassho-style building with a thatched roof, but from the inside you can't tell.Old aerial photographs are displayed in the hallway, and it seems that there were still many gassho-zukuri structures in those days. Only a little of it remains today. It's a bit sad, but I feel like this is a sign of the changing times. I'm grateful that I was able to see them and stay there.

A Kayapuki-style guesthouse located outside the private car restriction area of Shirakawa-go.The exterior and the dining area, which is made up of wooden boards, are an old folk house with a great atmosphere, but the bathroom has been beautifully renovated and is clean. They also seem to be very conscious about hygiene. The food was very delicious with good seasoning.
