You can feel the beauty of the mountains just by coming here. We could see cherry blossoms in full bloom, wild cherry blossoms, moss phlox, daffodils, tulips, etc., and the fresh greenery was also pleasant. To say the least, the food was delicious, with lots of wild vegetables!

This was my first time staying at Yoshinoya as it was close to Hodaigi Ski Resort. It was my first time staying at a guesthouse, so I was nervous, but after reading various reviews, I decided on Yoshinoya. As everyone's reviews have said, it is a guesthouse and feels a little old, but you can see that it is kept very clean. I was impressed to see them wiping the floor with their hands after eating. The toilet and bath were also clean. The service was also very good and they even took us to the ski resort and picked us up after we checked out, which was very helpful. The iced strawberries were also very delicious, and even though it was after hours, they didn't make any unpleasant faces and helped me over and over again, which made me feel very welcome. It was a very reasonable stay even though it was the end of the year, and the drinks at the meal were not expensive and were very reasonable. The food was also very delicious and plentiful. It's all good, but there was hair on the blanket, which bothered me a little. However, I can't complain about the food and service at that price! If I have to stay there again, I would like to go to Yoshinoya.

For me one of the most beautiful experiences in Japan. The owners are just incredibly friendly. Even though I was extremely unorganized, everything was set up ideally for me. Great onsen, great traditional food which was extremely good and filling. The perfect stay, this is the only hotel for me when I come back to the area :)

We were very happy staying here and extended for one more night. It is very simple place, hosted by a very warm and kind couple with great food (breakfast and dinner), and a small hot bath area. The place is exceptional clean, simple, no-frills room, with view of the greenery and there is everything you need. Share toilets on every floor and clean. Bath is on the first floor. It is close by (15-30 mins) drive to cafes, restaurants (Minakami) and Mount Tanigawa (many treks and beautiful scenery. If you are looking for activities, the couple host can recommend you good places - for Canyoning (Forest & Water).
