This is a calm inn that accommodates only three groups per day.Works by folk art artists and masterpiece furniture are placed throughout the lobby and rooms, and I felt that being able to spend time with these works is a big attraction of this place.Also, since there were only a few rooms, the staff were kind and thorough, and they explained in great detail the history of the area around the inn, its culture, and its relationship with folk crafts, so I learned a lot from my stay.I didn't have time to do the ``Sankyo Village Walk'' where the staff guided me around the area due to lack of research on my part, so I gave up on it, but I would definitely like to do it when I visit again.At the bar, we were provided free local beer, whiskey, plum wine, and juice for each person, so it was a good idea to spend some time relaxing while flipping through books in the library.The tea that was made for me when I checked in and the food at Restaurant Ilklima were also delicious.It has become my favorite inn and I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for your wonderful time.

In the middle of the rice fields there are scattered houses and then, there, there is Rakudo An. A little paradise over 200 years old, magnificently restored which is as qualitative as it is beautiful. Here, every detail counts. From floor to ceiling, from walls to wood used in the shower. This place, which presents itself as an art hotel, is an ode to the culture of the Toyama region. Everything comes from the area. Incredible and very attentive staff. We hope to return one day!

~Style. 120 years old restored countryside kominka~Setting. Surrounded by rural landscapes of vivid green rice paddies in a peaceful neighborhood~Explore. Tonami Sankyoson ( scattered village), little temples around the hotel, irrigation canals, extraordinary variety of wild flowers.~Rooms. Back to nature in comfort. 3 rooms only: Soil, Silk, Paper. I was in a room cocooned by ceiling and walls covered with silk. Room came with comfortable twin beds, art by 棟方志功 shiko munakata. Therapeutic amenities & bath with view of Japanese garden, outdoor seating area with view of picturesque rice paddies from which I got to watch a dramatic summer sunset and chase a couple of adorable frogs around. Common kitchen is stocked with free sake, beer, plum whisky, local apple juice made from the cutest little green apples~ @ the hotel. Explore the art & craft, felt like being in an intimate home of a privileged auntie. The warm and welcoming staff spoke English well and explained everything. Cute boutique with one of a kind gifts to bring home~Food & drinks. Traditional tea ceremony when you arrive. Italian restaurant using local ingredients, dishes with lots of flavors cooked by Yudai Ito who worked in Venice for two years~Prices. US$353 for room & breakfast, $116 for dinnner~Rating 5/5

The food at the attached restaurant was excellent. I get the impression that the chef is able to create dishes because he knows all about the five flavors. The combination of ingredients and sauces, seasoning, and pasteurization are exquisite. It was very delicious.

I think people will be happy to see the decorations, which are made by a well-known top artist. The food and the attention to detail on the utensils were amazing and they used local ingredients and it was delicious!

I live nearby, but I think the prices are too high for the purpose of seeing Tonami Plain and relaxing.I can't just stop by.When I say Nomurajima, it's just Fukuno, Nanto City.Depending on the direction you face, it might be Nanto Plain rather than Tonami Plain.
