When I passed by Bessho Onsen, I realized that I had never been there before, so I made a reservation for the same day.It really is an inn with a great atmosphere.I'm glad the food is delicious!thank you! Bessho hot spring! 🤣

Personally, I like the way it's made, but some people may be concerned about how cold it is and how old it is.The amount of rice is large and satisfying.Origami, traditional decorations, etc. evoke a sense of travel, and personally I like them better than the general cleanliness. The quality of the hot springs is good, ranking fifth in eastern Japan according to the Edo ranking. It's a little surprising, but I like the hidden village atmosphere. The room is spacious and the kotatsu is nostalgic.I can keep wandering around

As others have written, it's hard to say that the place is clean overall, so it's best to feel like you're visiting grandma's house in the countryside. The food was very delicious and the hot water in the bath was so pleasant that I took it about 5 times in one night.I think when I took a bath around 7pm, three maids also came in. They were all elderly, and I was relieved to see that they seemed to get along so well. However, when I came in the fall, two stink bugs came into the guest room. If you don't like insects, it's best not to stay here.By the way, there was seaweed for breakfast, but no natto. But it was delicious. I'll come back later.

It seems to be run by a family. It takes about 10 minutes to climb a gentle slope from Bessho Onsen Station. I took a nice bath three times. The temperature of the water was just right, and as the locals had told me, it never got cold and I walked outside in a short-sleeved shirt, where it was only about 10 degrees Celsius.

I was worried because the reviews were extreme, but the food was delicious and although the room was old, it didn't make me feel uncomfortable.Overall, I got the impression that I came to stay at my grandma's house in the countryside. It seems like it will be a rare experience for people from the city.It was summer when I visited, so it was comfortable, but the building is old, so it might be a bit cold in winter.I was traveling with children, but the staff was kind and helpful. The bath was hot and felt great, but I felt it was inconvenient that the individual washing areas only had hot water, so I had to dilute it with the faucet at the end.

The quality of the spring water is good, but I think the same is true of the hotels nearby. The handmade soba was delicious, but I wouldn't recommend anything else. During the meal, the maid asked me to reply, ``Isn't the garden beautiful?'' and I was very confused. It pains me to say this much, but the whole room was dirty, moldy, old, the futon was dusty, the mat on the bathroom floor was dirty, and to be honest, it didn't feel very comfortable. Even the bowl smelled damp. The floor of the open-air bath was also slippery and I couldn't sit on it. I must have made the wrong choice, but it seemed like it made my companion feel very bad, and to be honest, I didn't even want to pay for it. All the memories I had made were ruined. The cost performance is too bad, so I think it would be better if it could be improved a lot.

It was a weekday, so the place was reserved. The bath was nice with sulfur springs.
