I had high expectations because it had high reviews on Jalan and Rakuten Travel. It was delicious though. The hot spring has a clay-like, oily smell.

This time I stayed for one night with two meals included. The rooms are Japanese-style rooms with a calm feel, and the toilet and washroom are shared. The indoor bath is a light brown layered hot spring. The open-air bath is a slightly cloudy layered sulfur spring. Both smell like mall. The indoor bath is a little spacious. The open-air bath was small and didn't have a feeling of freedom at all, but the water was floating quite a bit. Both springs are fed directly from the source, and the quality of the spring water is very good and is unique to this region.Dinner was said to be small, but the amount of kamameshi was large and many people seemed to take it back to their rooms.Overall, the flavor was good and there was a lot of variety.Breakfast was healthy but completely satisfying. There are some cheap hotels nearby where you can enjoy hot springs, but this price is reasonable as it includes two meals. However, this year we didn't have the snowy open-air bath that we had hoped for because there was little snow and there was no sense of freedom in the open-air bath.

A hideaway inn located a short distance across the river from Naruko-Gotenyu Station, away from the hot spring town. There are railroad tracks right behind it, so it's a bit noisy when trains pass by, but the hot springs will make you forget everything.Food and service are quite average.
