It's already been 18 years since I started walking Nakasendo. I finally made it to Gifu, but this is the only youth hostel left. 15 minutes walk to cobblestone. Transportation to and from Ochiai bus stop is also available upon request. Home-cooked meals are delicious. The sunset at Mt. Ena is exceptional.

I used it for touring in the spring of 2022.Since the coronavirus was still affecting me, I called on Tuesday and was able to make a reservation for Saturday stay. I think there would have been a high probability of being out this year. Dinner/Breakfast I knew I would be a refugee, so I asked for dinner and breakfast as well. From Shikoku, we traveled from Kobe to Nagoya to Tsumago-juku, and although we were exposed to rain in Tsumago, we crossed the mountain pass and headed to Magome-juku. I took a photo of Magome-juku at dusk and went to Kisoji Furusato Youth Hostel. I am very grateful that it is close to Magome-juku.After parking my bike, I put away my raincoat and used the handrail on the entrance stairs to dry it. I'm a member of a youth hostel, so the prices are modest and I can stay there with peace of mind even if I'm traveling alone. The rooms are basically shared rooms, and being able to exchange information with other travelers who share the same smell is a great memory of my trip, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, I was the only guest. Nowadays, this would never happen with inbound travel.Dinner is on par with a restaurant, so you can feel safe bringing people with you. The bathroom was comfortable, and I was gathering information on the laptop I had brought with me. The building uses a lot of wood, so it has a sense of warmth. The rooms are clean, and when you wake up in the morning, you can see the greenery outside the window. After having a good breakfast, I resumed my tour of Magome-juku, and I am very grateful that there is a youth hostel here. This is also my third time using it. I will take care of you again the next time I go to Magome.Lastly, if you are coming by bike, please be careful when parking as the parking lot is gravel and sloped.(Sorry, I missed taking pictures of dinner and breakfast because I was hungry)

Thank you for your help on New Year's Day. The building was simple and stylish, the rooms and toilets were clean, and the bathtub was large enough to accommodate 4 or 5 people. The owner couple was also kind and provided hot and cold water even if we stayed overnight without meals. You can use the microwave and refrigerator, so the service was perfect. thank you very much.

The building is in a nice location in the mountains. My wife and I were really looking forward to our first overnight trip in three years. When we arrived at the location, the owner welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at ease. . . Even though it was such a nice place, we were the only customers. And from there it was a series of disappointments.I met a woman (wife?) in the kitchen, and when I said hello to her and asked if I could help her today, she just answered ``Yes'' brusquely. ? Hmm, I don't feel welcomed. When I went to take a bath, there was a bug floating in the bathtub. yeah? When I looked up from the bathtub to the walls and ceiling, the insects continued to swarm around me, about 100 in total. The true identity of the insect is a ladybug. I can't stop tingling and immediately get out of the bath. Then the meal. The stew has no taste. The buckwheat noodles are crunchy and not boiled. A spider is sinking into the fruit. I couldn't eat anymore and ended up going out to eat.I canceled breakfast the next day, and ran home in the wee hours of the morning feeling angry at having ruined our first trip as a couple.

The location is like a luxury hotel. It's a very beautiful inn. Of course, the bed and meals are typical of a youth hostel, but considering the price, it's more than enough, so if you're traveling to Kisoji, please consider it. There are a lot of comics, etc., so you can kill time even by yourself.
