Disappointed is all I can say. The proprietress was a beautiful person with a wonderful smile, and she greeted everyone at every table during the meal, and I felt that this was a wonderful ryokan that was considerate towards its guests, including the staff. However, the level of satisfaction for the price was the worst in terms of food, hot springs, and room facilities.First of all, the food is disappointing. Fascinated by the gorgeous photos on the website, I took my parents from far away to have a luxurious meal for the first time in a while on a holiday, even though it was a bit expensive. When you open the lid, you will find many dishes that are far from the photos on the website. I was even irritated by how serious the photo fraud was. There was nothing particularly impressive about the taste, and even the white rice was dry, something I've never had at an inn in this price range. Breakfast was full of nothing special items that made you think you could find side dishes at a supermarket. Since I had an Irori hotpot, I was expecting to get some steamed food, but instead I just cracked raw eggs and made fried eggs myself. And a large bath. Although the main selling point is the hot springs, it was a very lonely and empty bath. Even my mother, who always enjoys the hot springs at ryokan inns and never returns to her room, would come back quickly and take a bath in her room again, lamenting that the public bath was not worth going to.The sofa and bed in the room were hard and old-fashioned, something I've never experienced in this price range, and there were no outlets near the bed.The only saving grace was the open-air bath in the room. I was so worried that I could definitely see it from outside, so I quickly left the room. The door to the room was a sliding type and wouldn't close properly even after I locked it, there was a gap that made it easy to get out of the hallway, and the design didn't feel user-friendly at all. And the comfort was the worst. These experiences cost about 50,000 yen per person per night. I was so disappointed that I wanted to ask for a refund, but I held back and went home. There are many inns in this price range that offer a much better experience than this one. I think you should reconsider your prices and look at other inns to learn more. This was the first time I had ever left an inn feeling so disappointed that my shoulders dropped. I always put a lot of time and effort into choosing a place to stay, so I'm shocked that I ended up losing out like this, and I'm also sorry to my parents. Please give me back the holidays I was looking forward to indulging in.P.S. It seems that there were some overseas customers, but when I was checking out, I passed them and could hear them talking. “Honestly, ※△%□ (inaudible)…disgusting.” he said in a whisper right after talking to the staff member.Disguisting can have many different meanings, but all of them are words that express an unpleasant feeling, such as "It's disgusting! It's disgusting!" I don't know if it was the staff's response or the inn's service that disappointed me like we did, but as a Japanese person, I was very saddened to hear the complaints of foreigners who came to Japan. It was.

I made a web reservation for this inn that had a vacant room 5 days in advance without gathering much information about Yamaga Onsen. I had low expectations, but I was disappointed in a good way.As soon as I arrived, a veteran staff member came out to greet me and took great care of the light bag I was carrying on my shoulder. In addition to the welcome drink, there are delicious Japanese sweets in the room. The room is spacious and clean, and the open-air bath and deck are beautifully illuminated by the setting sun. At this point I am already 100% satisfied.Furthermore, the dinners served in the private rooms are all carefully seasoned and prepared with a lot of creativity. The proprietress politely greets customers while waiting for the pottery, which can take a long time. The bed in the room was comfortable and it was truly relaxing. There is also a nice streetscape near the inn for a stroll, and when you arrive at the inn, you can enjoy a drink at the sake brewery right next door and get tipsy. Also, the recent retro hot springs are open from 6am, making it a great place to take a walk. When I went out and came back, both in the evening and early in the morning, the veteran staff greeted me in a pleasant manner. This is an inn that you would definitely want to stop by when visiting Kyushu.

Don't ask for a massage here! !I guess I had asked for a massage, but during the massage the masseuse kept talking to my parents, who had come with me, and stopped giving me the most important part. It was so bad that I had to be careful along the way. This is my first time having a masseuse like this.My father was getting a massage before me, but he was talking the whole time, so I don't think he was getting much massaged. It was like that until I warned them, but they charged the normal fee. The outsourced massage was terrible and gave a bad impression of the hotel. That masseuse should be banned. The inn itself was very clean, the staff at the inn were very kind, the hot water in the baths was good, and the food was good, so I was very satisfied.

Staying overnight without meals to enjoy the hot springs♨️The atmosphere is small, but the hospitality is very warm, and although the facility is old, it is clean and has good taste. The hot springs were lukewarm, perfect for summer, and I was able to take a long bath😊There is a massage chair in the lobby that you can use for free and it feels so good that I can say that it was worth coming just for this 😁There are pubs, soba restaurants, etc. within a few minutes walk, so I didn't have any trouble finding a place to eat.

I felt it was a boring inn for people who don't drink alcohol.
