Very very good location for accessing the ski fields and gondolas. Restaurant onsite is convenient for small meals at breakfast. Very clean. Has a great dry room for storing gear. Basic but functional.Only major downside is the cold temperature in the showers downstairs, however most people tend to go to the Onsen anyway. Also you can hear people in other rooms but I think this is standard for Japan.

Our double bed was literally just a box spring, the worst sleep of my life! If I would stay here again, which I probably won’t, I would have chosen a Japanese style room because sleeping on the floor would be way more comfortable than what we got. Other than the bed it was a great location.

Great place if you want to ski in and out of nozawa onsen. The manager was an absolute legend who helped us with all our needs. The place was better than we expected and the service wasn't too bad considering the staff shortage in the town. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for somewhere affordable in a great location.

I stayed at Gondola house for 4 nights in February 2023. The location is excellent as it is a very short walk to the ticket office and gondola. Unfortunately, the trip was marred by a sub standard room, very poor facilities, and poor attendance by the staff (apart from the manager). If you are looking for a location close to the gondola go ahead but expect very poor conditions in the building itself - 2 onsen showers service the entire building (on 5sec timers), bath is braken, room door was not lockable, bunk bed broke during use, staff laughed when we explained our problems, and there is no hot water on the top floor (all floors have toilets and sinks. Oh, the internet speed was quite good - just like the manager said.
