Visit CHIRDREN' COFFEE BANDB KIMIE in Kamakura, a place where local children and people from around the world can connect through food. Surrounded by the babbling of the river, greenery, and temples, why not come to this place? Every Wednesday, local children gather here, where natural parents, local adults, and guests from all over the world staying in homestays can enjoy the same meals together. The owner, Kimie Seto, has worked in a co-op for people with disabilities, in city hall for the social reintegration of adults, and for children from abusive families. Seeing the poor meals that many children eat alone, she aspired to provide nourishing meals filled with care and to promote food education. She was drawn to a building amidst the beautiful scenery of Nikaido in Kamakura and decided to start a cafeteria for children funded by the revenue from homestays. The connections between people and food continue to grow. CHIRDREN' COFFEE BANDB KIMIE in Kamakura is a place where local children and people from around the world can connect through food. Highly recommend! The location is just a few stations from downtown, and there’re quite a lot temples around. The most impressive point is the hostess, who is especially hospitable and cooks yummy breakfast everyday for the guests. Definitely worth a stay if u plan to visit kamakura.

What do you look for in a trip?Is it beautiful scenery, delicious food, experiencing a different culture, or meeting local people? If you are overwhelmed by the global economic wave that is sweeping the world, and are overwhelmed with work and money, and are exhausted physically and mentally, please stay here and experience Kimie's sincerity. You will be very moved to know that there are still people like her who are made of 100% good will on this earth where you live. When you realize that she helps people and seeing people happy gives her energy to live, you will definitely want to come back to this comfortable inn.

This was the most wonderful stay in Kamakura. I felt like a cherished guest in Kimie’s home. She is considerate, friendly, and the kind of person who brings people together. The walls are a bit thin, but it was not a problem. I slept very well in the comfortable bed with soft pillow.I will schedule my next trip around this accommodation. Kimie prepared authentic Japanese breakfast each day - it was by far the best breakfast I enjoyed and one of the top 3 of all meals during my 16-day trip. Kamakura is lovely and Kimie’s lovely energy makes your visit exceptional!

We stayed here for two nights with our 11 mi the old baby and had the best experience. Kimie could not have been more welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is great, easy bus ride or walk into the main area but it’s along a river. The breakfast was delicious, and I said it was the best salmon I’ve ever had! We loved having space for William to play, and she had a high chair. She also made him a special breakfast! We loved meeting Kimie and highly recommend her place for your stay in Kamakura!

Kimie's B&B is a delight; she is a gracious and thoughtful host. Plus she speaks great English. The vibe is like a cozy trip to your grandmother's house. I stayed in a room with a little balcony overlooking a peaceful river full of fish and a couple of ducks.Kimie's homemade breakfast and cakes are delicious. She runs a small cafe in the same building that serves nutritious meals to kids who are in need. The money the B&B earns helps fund the cafe! The location is great, especially if you prefer to be off the beaten path. It's just a short walk to Hokokuji (the famous Bamboo temple) and Jomyoji (Check out the imho, underrated tea house). It's a 20 min walk to Kamkura Station (or an 8-10 min bus ride). Two things to note - If you have mobility issues, the rooms are on the 2nd floor and the stairs are a bit steep. Also, if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. The birds outside my window were pretty chirpy at dawn.

Available in October 2022.There is a private lodging house about 10 minutes east along Kanazawa Kaido from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.I used to stay at minshuku a lot when I was a student, and the wife of this minshuku, Kimie, really ran it all by herself, and I admired her for being a very energetic person. I also make breakfast for the guests. That breakfast was very delicious.Kimie, who looks a lot like my aunt-in-law, is a friendly and cheerful person, and in the morning she was chatting with the guests, who seemed to be regulars, at the table. If my 3-year-old didn't get so upset when he wanted to play with toys, we could have talked a little more slowly, but that's a shame.I saw it in other people's reviews, but it was so comfortable that it felt like I was staying at a relative's house. Sorry to disturb you.
