My family and I used it on weekdays during Obon. In conclusion, I highly recommend it.1 tarp and 1 tent for 2 peopleThe price is for 2 sites and is extremely cheap at 2,100 yen.Check-in is from 11amYou can make a reservation online at least one week in advance.Day camping at the tent site is also possible, and the hours of use are from 9:00 to 17:00.Showers and firewood are free of charge, the men's restroom has 2 Western-style rooms (one with a washlet), and the rental items are very cheap (1000 yen for a two-room tent for 2 to 3 people). The manager is also kind. The grass on the premises is well mowed...there is nothing to complain about. To be honest, there are no shops or vending machines. As everyone has said, the road is wider and easier if you go from the Route 46 side.If you are coming from the Shimonita side, I think the Yaoko Tomioka store is a good place to shop, and if you are coming from the Tomioka Kanra side, the Fressey Tomioka store is a good place to go.Both have a 100 yen store and a drug store on the premises, so you can take care of anything you forget.

2024/8 A certain Saturday useProcure ingredients at Yaoko at the foot of the mountainI arrived after running on a mountain road. The road was just the right width for a bike.1 bungalow including meWe had a quiet night in three tent camps. There are many free sites for tents.I parked my bike where I wanted and set up a tent nearby. The people in the bungalows were also parked in the building. As per the reviews, firewood and showers were free. We will take away the charcoal and ash. Please take your trash home with you. There are no vending machines. There is a shower, but no shampoo or body soap is provided. It's reasonably priced at 1000 yen per group. I will use it again.

24.07.06 RevisitedAlthough it was the middle of the rainy season, I believed it would clear up and visited again lolThis was my first visit on a new bike. The route from the Great Salt Lake side, which had been closed for some time due to restoration work, was now open, so I decided to climb from that side.If you use the route from this side, you will be able to go there with your own car.Even though it was Saturday, the forecast was for rain, so I went completely solo♪Even though things have calmed down, being able to enjoy a complete solo on Saturdays and Sundays during the high season is very valuable (^^)I used it during a weekday holiday in April. It was right after the season started and it was a weekday, so it was reserved (^ ^)The weeping cherry blossoms were in full bloom and very beautiful. The firewood was kindly provided for free, so I was grateful for the opportunity to use it (*´∀`*)I'm planning to come again this time of year!

I visited on the opening day in April. After leaving the Tomioka Silk Mill, we headed counterclockwise around the campsite using Google Maps, which was a very hard forest road that seemed narrow even for light cargo. If your car is large, it may get scratched by branches, etc., so it's easier to drive if you head from the other direction you passed on the way back, as the road is wider and the slope is gentler. If I remember correctly, I took Prefectural Route 46 and headed home. It's a mountain road, so I can't remember it.1050 yen per person per night, very cheap.Firewood and showers available 24 hours free of charge.Even more valuable than that was the great nature, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and I was surprised by the abundance of birds. You can wake up comfortably from around 5am to the sound of many birds chirping.Since it was April, I wasn't able to purchase Shimonita green onions, but I was very satisfied with the nearby Tomioka Silk Mill, the impressive Weeping Cherry Blossom Hoshakuji Temple, and the roadside station Kanra with Italian wine, local beer, and a lunch box with Momotaro rice. I will go again!

The forecast was for Monday, so we rented it out exclusively. The ground of the site was dirt, so it got muddy from the rain, but there was no water buildup or flooding. At night, deer were singing very close. Please note that if you follow the navigation instructions, you will be guided down a very narrow road.

It's great that you can use the tent site for 1000 yen.I can't believe that firewood and showers are available for free. If you go up from Minamigoka in Tomioka, the road is very narrow and you may feel uneasy, but if you go up from Akihata in Kanra Town, it will take a while but the road is wide and well-paved, so it is safe and secure.(If you use the navigation system to pass through Kanra Michi-no-Eki, it will guide you to a relatively wide road.I also recommend eating the ground flour pizza. Sales start from 10:30)In the past, it was a bit troublesome to make a reservation by calling the city hall and then sending an application PDF via email, but recently it has become easier to apply as you can apply online from the city's website. There are no complaints at this time. I will be using it a lot 🙇‍♀️postscriptNormally, you can park your car near your site or in the plaza in front of the barbecue area, but on days when there are a lot of reservations such as Golden Week, you can unload your luggage at the plaza and then move it to the parking lot. It will be. I was a little tired because I had to walk up the stairs (3 floors). Also, when you make a reservation, you select tent sites A through S, but since you only choose for convenience, it seems like the first come, first served is where you pitch your tent.

A campsite with the scent of the Showa eraIt's a pretty narrow mountain road if you go from Tomioka, so it's better to go from Kanra.
