I visited Ouchi-juku on the Saruyu Bus from Yunokami Onsen Station. On the bus, the guide handed out meal coupons and introduced Yamagataya as a recommended restaurant. It was before 12 o'clock, so it was empty, but there were about a dozen club tourism groups coming in soon, so many of the general customers had to wait. Food was delicious though our soba took around 15-20 mins to arrive, so be careful if you are planning to catch the bus. It was quite pricey (1200 yen) and the portion size was not bad.The Kozuyu came in a really small bowl which you could finish in 2 mouthfuls. I suggest not to buy it as it cost 6000 yen for such a small bowl. The taste was meh.
