I stayed overnight on the way to the pilgrimage. It seems like the hotel is located in a special ward of a nationally designated park and has various regulations such as renovation and mowing. It looks old and would be better called a ryokan than a hotel, but it is very clean and well-maintained.Even the bath towels are folded beautifully, and you can tell that they take great care of this old building. Each meal is very delicious, and there are many types of sake from Kochi Prefecture, so I think alcohol lovers will be satisfied. The morning sunrise is mysterious and worth getting up a little early. This hotel is a great place to stay if you are sightseeing or on a pilgrimage.

8/13 StayThis is a valuable building from the early Showa period, and you can enjoy delicious locally sourced food. It's near the sea, so the view is perfect. It was a room where you could hear the sound of the waves. The room feels historical, but the air conditioner seems to have been recently replaced, so everything is new.The building has also been earthquake-reinforced.It seems that most of my other reservations were canceled due to the earthquake, so I was able to get the best room even though I was on the ``Room Random Plan''.The chatty landlady told me a lot about the neighborhood and buildings, and I had a great time. The shutters have a special feature. Please pay attention.I was worried about a tsunami, but since the property is run by someone who has lived in the area for a long time, I felt safe knowing that evacuation methods and evacuation routes had been established."Escape to the mountains rather than the tsunami evacuation towers," seems to be the local rule.

A 1930's hotel that combines the best of Japanese (delicious food and an inhouse onsen) with the charm of a 1930's European hotel (an alcove with armchairs looking out over the ocean). On the tip of Cape Muroto and just meters from the sea, we enjoyed watching the ocean as well as the sunrise and sunset. The host is a charming woman who speaks good English and her husband knows his sake. An excellent place to relax and celebrate reaching an important milestone on the Shikoku 88 Temple pilgrimage. We loved our stay here! A wonderful spot on the earth - minutes from an UNESCO Geo- park Site. Do not miss this amazing promenade walk just behind the back of the hotel. The hotel, built in the1930’s is a time capsule, right out of a Uzo film set!The owners could not have been nicer, so kind and welcoming! Richi is a fabulous chef and prepares amazing meals, artistic and delicious! Her husband is a saki Sommelier and will guide you to a wonderful paring with your meal. The older rooms are a bit rustic but very clean and charming. Splurge for the modern building if you want an ocean view. There is a nice bath and washer and dryer available. We had a large tandem bike and they allowed us to store it in the entry way. It was raining so we stayed 2 nights and there is plenty to do nearby- within walking distance! These people and many others of Japan have made our bike tour so memorable! Domo arigato gozaimatsu 🙏

An inn located on the coast of Cape Muroto. The impression is more of a quaint old-fashioned inn than a tourist hotel. The food and scenery are great, and the customer service is warm. The facility is old and I think it's an inn that caters to people.

It shows as a luxury hotel and is rather a hostel, that means very bad value for your money. The building is old and needs urgent renovations. We didn't get the room cleaned eventhough we asked for it. …
