This is a campground run by a very cute old man. It's a quiet and wonderful environment with nothing but nature around. There is also spring water and a beautiful river running through it. I don't recommend it to those who are looking for a shiny facility, but I highly recommend a visit to those who want to spend a quiet time surrounded by nature.

Close to Tokyo, suitable for outlaws who don't care about small details.I think it cost about 1000 yen.The bike was parked on the road. There is no signal, so I have to go back to the road.More of a village than a campsiteThe old man keeps talking endlessly, he comes back just when you think he's gone, and if you have good communication skills he'll probably forgive you even if you camp out on his own.Almost no onePepsi chairs are interestingThe running water seems fine, but it's a good idea to bring a water purifier.I actually like the fact that there is no signal.

A perfect and deep spot among the campgrounds near Okutama. There's firewood and iron plates, but nothing else. If I don't buy anything other than water, I have to walk 20 minutes each way to the nearest vending machine. Most of the huts are in ruins or are not in a usable condition. The usable bungalows are also quite run down. It's about 10 minutes down a steep slope from the road. If you're looking for beauty, fashion, and comfort, definitely don't come here. My husband, who is said to have a strong personality, is rather talkative. If that's what you mean, you're not a bad person at all. The river is extremely beautiful. Cheers to the fact that a place like this remains in Tokyo.2022/09/04 Visited for the first time in 2 years. Docomo has almost no signal, but au seems to be able to. A bundle of firewood costs 500 yen. 1500 yen per person. It was still a great place.

I met the owner again after a long time and visited him several times. The many rock cypresses attached to large rocks are a sight to behold!

Shockingly poor condition. Garbage strewn everywhere: next to no facilities: run by a single old man who can barely speak intelligible Japanese, nevermind a few words of English. You are away from other attractions here, yet, the "camp site" itself is not a pleasant place to spend time.It is literally stunning that some people have given this place 5 stars.

Apparently it costs 1,500 yen per night to stay, but it takes 15 minutes to get to the campsite. It's not a well-maintained area, so it's quite difficult to carry your luggage there, and in the winter, you can't use the toilet, so I was asked to do it in the wild. It wasn't cleaned well, and I was told that I was staying alone on the day I visited. To put it simply, it's camping in the mountains at the level of bushcraft, but animal protection is a must and is for advanced users. I gave up and moved to a nearby camp.
