Stayed near Madarao Kogen Hotel. When I went to the Madarao Kogen Hotel for a day trip to the hot springs, I couldn't enter the bath because it was too crowded, so I was directed to a hotel in the same group. Please note that this is a simple bath and there are no lockers in the changing room. There is one large bathtub and a cold bath. There were about 10 washrooms. The hot springs had a bit of a smell. There was also a small sauna, and although I went into it with no expectations, it was quite nice. It's big enough to seat 7 people. The sauna room itself was okay, but the cold bath was terrible. I felt incredibly refreshed after soaking in the water bath for about a minute.I thought all the water baths were the same, but when I thought about it, this place was near the famous "the SAUNA". I wonder if natural snowmelt water is used even in the cold water baths of hotels.I feel like I understand a little more about the feelings of people who are particular about cold baths. It was such a sauna.

Wifi is inadequate. You can't rely on it. I want it to be compatible with today's times.

Although the building is old, the service at the front desk was very courteous.I ate at a partner hotel and used the bath, and the size of the bath was fine at both. In other words, this hotel had fewer guests and was relatively empty, but the amenities provided in the public bath were better at the partner hotel. However, in the case of consecutive nights, bath towels etc. are often left out regardless of the number of nights, but here they were placed properly for the number of nights, which was very helpful. It was a hotel that I would like to use again next time.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a unit bath. The hot springs are open until 11pm, so you cannot enter in the morning. There was no Japanese food for breakfast.
