The amount of food was a little large, but it was very delicious.I also stayed at a villa, and the woman in charge of the room was very cute and very attentive. It has become my favorite inn in Kyushu.Next time, I would like to try Amakusa and Takachiho. I don't have one for an overnight trip, so next time I'm planning to stay for several nights.September 17, 2024 Stay at Sasanquaby SASUKE

The staff made this a magical experience. This was the best onsen we stayed at during are almost three week trip. They where very welcoming and accommodating to my fiancé's food tolerances. When we come back we will be staying more than one night.

Amazing service and love the hospitality they provided. We were welcomed warmly. Kids amenities were provided for my daughter. Room and Beds were warm and comfortable. We were given chocolates and warm sweet potato stocked daily. The dinner and breakfast were spectacular. We stayed 2 nights and the food served had a lot of varieties. The private dining rooms had beautiful garden views too.I was very really happy with our stay.Short walk to the temple and souvenir shop just down the road. They have free parking on site too.Only misshap was that on our last day, the outdoor bath temperature control somehow stopped working, so the bath was cold, but since we have enjoyed the outdoor bath the day before, we were not affected.I would highly recommend to stay here when you visit Takachiho.

Do not be fooled by the fact this is listed as a 3-star hotel. This is an amazing ryokan with immaculate attention to service and quality! The meals are always prepared with so much thought, as evident from the variety and quality. The property also has beautifully landscaped gardens which you can enjoy from your room.Highly recommended but not for the budget conscious. My only gripe is that the onsen water is not tapped from natural hot spring.
