The location is great, about 5-7 minutes walk from Ikebukuro Station. There are convenience stores, barbecue restaurants, and Don Quixote around. The breakfast is good, and there are coin-operated washing machines and dryers on the first floor, which is very convenient.

The hotel is about 5 minutes' walk from the stationThere are two FamilyMart and a Lawson next to itIt was just right for us, two adults and one child (3 years old), to stay in a double bed roomLuggage 36 inches can be spread out, but only one at a timeThe water in the bathroom is very strong and hot, the air-conditioning is cold enough, and it is very comfortable. Luggage can be stored. There are many supplies on the first floor that are must-haves. The skin care products are also very useful. It's okay, but I don't necessarily want to eat there.The only drawback is that the vending machine on the first floor keeps giving me the wrong items🤣The ones I got were not what I chose.It seems that hot water and ice are not always available.When cleaning the room, they only changed the towels but did not take away the garbage together.And remember to draw the curtainsCan't see clearly at nightI discovered in the morning that outside the window is the stairwell of the building next door🤣

The hotel is at the north exit of Ikebukuro Station, very close to Buildings 1 and 2. Go up the steps from the 20a passage at the west exit of Ikebukuro to the road, cross the road and walk straight to get there. The distance is relatively close, and there are convenience stores and fruit shops along the way. There are three convenience stores near the hotel, as well as various restaurants, entertainment venues and shops.The staff at the front desk were friendly and courteous. The hotel has two elevators, making it much faster to go up and down the stairs. The room is clean and similar to the room layout of other branch hotels. It seems that the ban on illegal vehicles near the station and at the entrance is quite strict.The breakfast is delicious and the staff is friendly. There are sweet soup with almonds and pineapples, etc. However, there is a local food sign at the back. I don’t know if this dessert is considered a local delicacy. Another local food sign is placed in front of a delicious meatball meal. If you look closely, it turns out it refers to the seaweed in front of it, which is interesting.

Speaking of business, it's Toyoko Inn.Newer hotels are nice and clean, but these days they're becoming more and more touristy hotels, and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable, so I end up using those hotels just for fun.

Stable Toyoko Inn. It's close to Ikebukuro Station and costs less than 10,000 yen. The person at the front desk could speak Chinese and English. Customer service is also polite and good. The rooms are also kept clean. Compared to other Toyoko Inn, the noise is surprisingly less bothersome. There was no hustle and bustle around, and it was a surprisingly quiet environment. However, the area between the station and the hotel feels like an entertainment district, so it is not recommended for families with children.

I have stayed at Toyoko Inn several times and this is the first time I encountered such a waiter. It really affected my mood!We met a male counter attendant without glasses that day. Because the communication was not smooth, the waiter's attitude was very bad. He made noises when taking things, showing his impatience. Later, a female waitress who spoke Chinese came to help us with the check-in procedure. It was successfully completed.The next day I saw this male waiter's enthusiastic attitude towards Japanese customers. I had two different feelings. Maybe I thought he wouldn't complain to him if he wasn't Japanese? I don’t know what the mentality is, so people who don’t speak Japanese or English well should be careful when meeting this waiter! He has no patience to communicate with you! It will only show off your face and throw away your membership card.

Except for the wall view, I was satisfied with everything. The bathtub was large so I could stretch out my feet and still have room to relax. Breakfast was free and the quality wasn't bad. The lounge was a bit small, but if you go at the right time, you can start your day well. The rooms were clean, and there were reviews that said they weren't soundproof, but at least I was very satisfied for the three days! Recommended for solo travelers!!
