We use it every year.Although it is a so-called guest house, you can check in early depending on room availability.There is a good sense of distance between the owner and the guests, and the funamori and stewed red sea bream are absolutely delicious. Most of our guests are repeat guests.

My family uses it every year.The owner's sense of distance and neglect are wonderful.Air conditioner available. Unlimited laundry. Lots of toilets too. Two private baths.If you don't mind the small details, this is a really convenient accommodation.The sea is right in front of the inn. Iwachi Beach is the best.

The boatload was very delicious.The host and landlady of the inn were also very nice and it was a guesthouse that I would like to come back to again!

Kaketsukaya is a very nice and well located place to stay. Some rooms are just in front of the seashore (photo was taken from the window), and all at just 20m from Iwachi sand beach. It's one of the best shore of western Izu : clean, large, ideal for those who like to swim and dive. This minshuku has two little free access onsen in the inn to relax after swimming. You can also wash your stuff and store it in the inner courtyard. The owner of Kaketsukaya is REALLY very nice and cool, he’ll make nice diners with local fresh fish, seaweed and shell. The dinner is HUGE.Right place for a family or a couple. Go there before or after Japanese holidays: it’s cheaper and you’ll have the beach and the inn for you.
