Nada Midori-soIt was the best!A quiet space where the Nata coast stretches out in front of you and only the sound of the waves can be heard.Play in the sea, play sup, take a walk, and have a barbecue.I am very satisfied with the private plan!Unfortunately, I couldn't see the sunrise because of the rain, but I will go again.Thank you for your help ^_^

Best place to getaway if you are in Beppu or Oita. The owners are great. Loved talking with them. They have a cute dog too. The sunrise is the best part of being there. So don't miss it.

I visited you twice in the summer of 2020. We had a comfortable stay with our young children and dog. From Midori-so, you can walk directly to the sea, so it was a good environment for the children to get used to playing in the water. We had a variety of fun ways to spend our time, such as relaxing in the sea or walking on the beach, or renting a kayak or SUP and being active. The owner family is also warm and welcoming. The owner told me that it is quite cool inside the pine forest. During the summer at home, we often camped at high altitudes in search of coolness, but this was a new discovery. The small torii gate of Natamiya Shrine also floats in the sea, allowing you to watch the sunrise slowly. (It collapsed once in the 2020 typhoon, but was rebuilt with crowdfunding!)We had a lovely summer at Nada Beach House in Kunisaki Peninsula. We stayed with our little toddlers and a dog. Since the beach house is in a Japanese pine forest, we had a comfortable time with low humidity and moderate temperature. But if you want summer, only a few steps away from the beach to enjoy real summer weather with your cold beer. Lots to do including kayaking, SUP or more cultural orientation such as visiting Shrine. If you are into photo or just enjoy watching the sunrise, it is magnificent with a Tori gate on the ocean (which was destroyed by a typhoon but the locales did a crowd funding rase to reinstall it. Fantastic community work!). The owner has some great stories to tell too.

Tetsuo was a wonderful host, and his family is very kind! SUP is included in the stay and he can even help you out with getting a wetsuit. The entire downstairs is yours to use and there are plenty of places to just sit down and enjoy the waves, inside and out. The kitchen also has full sets of anything you might need. Tetsuo is also a hiking guide. If you like hikes, just include that in your email and he can give you all the information you could want about Kunisaki. His historical knowledge on Japan is great for Foreigners who are eager to learn! Cannot recommend this place enough.
