Check-in for the first time in a while since the renovation work of the bathhouse has been completed. So, before I start my latest report, I would like to say a few words.I heard that when a certain guest at this inn was served a meal, someone complained, ``The food listed in the reviews wasn't served.''This inn is a hot spring inn for the purpose of hot spring therapy, and is originally a self-catering stay, with meals included as an option.I also commented on the attached photo that the contents of the meals prepared are always changing.I consider it customer harassment to force customers to provide standard service like a tourist hotel without trying to understand the purpose of the inn, so I would like to tell them not to come to me with complaints like the one mentioned above again. Please rest assured that the renovated bathhouse is only the hut, and the bathtub that has the feeling of a spa that everyone loves remains the same. The mysterious atmosphere of Yoshiharu Tsuge, with the faint smell of cypress in the bathroom, is gone, but I think we have been able to update it to a bright, open, and divine atmosphere. Also, the toilet has been renovated to look like a modern hot spring inn, making it very comfortable. I think it blends well with the existing building. Also, the daily special for dinner was somen noodles made with whale stock and local dishes that you wouldn't normally get to try, which made me very satisfied😊*Below are past reviewsInspired by the strange atmosphere of a shrine in the bathroom that I saw in a hot spring guidebook, I visited with high expectations. As you descend the dimly lit stairs, you will be overwhelmed by the three bathtubs filled with (what appears to be) black water and the shrine enshrined in front of you. There was no washing area, and following the specifications of the bathhouse, which prioritized soaking in the hot water, I poured the hot water carefully before entering the bath, and as the reviews said, I was deeply moved by the richness of the hot water, which tasted like oyster soup. For my first stay, I checked in with the hot spring plan (no meals), as meals are included on Saturdays and Sundays for a minimum of 2 people. It is 4000 yen per person. You don't have to cook your own meals just because you're taking a hot spring bath, or you can check in after eating in Yanaizu town, so if your main goal is to soak in Nishiyama's hot springs, we recommend the hot spring bath plan. Also, just like in a guesthouse, each guest must bring their own towels, razors, etc.By the way, the half-board plan is for 2 people or more and costs 9,000 yen (tax included) per person. In addition, Oozawa Onsen Ryokan is one of the rare places in Nishiyama Onsen where you can stay overnight on weekends and holidays. So, I revisited Oozawa Onsen Ryokan in the early summer season. This time, I checked in with the half-toji plan, which includes two meals of rice, miso soup, and a small side dish. The difference with the overnight stay plan is that in addition to rice and miso soup, a yukata, hand towel, and toothbrush are added, making it feel like you've upgraded from a guesthouse to a ryokan. The meal consisted not only of rice and miso soup, but also two small bowls of wild vegetables and one simmered dish, so if you're a light eater, I think it's a meal that will fill you up 😋🍚By the way, I added horse sashimi, natto, and fried food that I bought at a supermarket in Yanaizu, and I was full😙This is my third check-in during the autumn leaves season, which is the busiest season along the Tadami Line. The dinner of this half-bath treatment plan is a surprise of boiled shark (゚д゚)It was a satisfying dish with an unexpectedly pale white fish😋🦈I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of food will be served on my next visit 😆P.S.: There is a shortage of food items for the half-bath treatment plan, and there are times when they are unable to provide side dishes such as boiled dishes. On the other hand, there are times when you get an unexpected surprise menu that goes beyond the scope of the half-bath treatment plan! ? 😳From my personal opinion, I have stayed at many accommodations, and I think the deliciousness of the white rice is one of the best 🍚✨Side note: The bathroom at Oozawa Onsen Ryokan is featured on the cover of the new hot spring guide book ``Japan 100 Hina Izumi''.
