Style.Kyoto based Takato Yoshida designedSetting.Lush 74 acre sustainable organic farm with couple of accommodation optionsExplore.Kids friendly place, join the farm tour and harvest your own vegetables, checkout the mother lake and the primal bullfrogs, the art scattered throughout including Yayoi Kusama installations, etcRooms.I was in one of the 6 wooden cocoons. My room had a homely atmosphere but was not as clean as expected (but I had alcohol wipes), bathroom came with a bathtub and had a natural skylight. Weather was perfect while I was here which made it easy for me, as could not figure out the room’s temperature control. Tried out the sauna which I think would be even more enjoyable in cold weather. There is a small natural pool and a cold bath just next to the sauna.@ the hotel.Subterranean gorgeous library designed by Hiroshi Nakamura and Nap architects. Hotel trying to educate guests on sustainability. Other room options are the cute trailers in the tiny house villageFood & drinks.Delicious high quality dinner at Perus, only 5 of us at dinner, started with mozzarella from the farm’s buffalo, meal was partly served outdoors on the terrace and BBQ-ed. Japanese breakfast at “Dining” was underwhelming but the salad buffet, as you would expect, was super fresh and just what I craved. The cocoon also has a communal kitchen Takka for cookingPrices.USD400 half board including alcohol pairingRating.5/5Unique experience and wonderful adorable staff
