Friendly, professional and attentive staff.Quiet and serene. You feel like you are the only customers there, however all the rooms are booked. You have your own private onsen in your room or can use the public one with or without a bathing suit. You are greeted with matcha tea and a small water chestnut dessert, choose your kimonos, and are then led to your room where you are given your kimonos to wear as an option while in the resort. There are plenty of tea, coffee, and small little snacks in your room and lobby while you await your kaizeken dinner (8 course meal).Dinner and breakfast are exquisite and artfully done. You do get full with the portions. There are also ice cream in the lobby (forgot to try them) - Haggen Daaz matcha, red bean popsicle, and two others I didn't get to see.Plenty of hair care, facial soap and lotions to pamper yourself. You don't need to bring any of your toiletries.Thank you to all the staff at Yunohana!

Expensive but definitely a special treat and experience. The resort offers free shuttle service pick and drop off to Kameoka station. The entire process from booking to drop off was seamless despite the fact I don't speak Japanese. The resort is located in somewhat of a countryside but that just adds to the charm and beauty. The grounds are really stunning. You feel transported back in time to the Meiji period. Although the common areas are a little hot and could be cooler. But the service was impeccable. Everyone treats you like royalty. They offer free coffee, tea, ice cream in the lobby. We had a private open air onsen in our room but the public onsen was also very nice. It wasn't crowded at all so the public onsen felt like our very own private onsen. The meals served were like works of art. And the service was top notch. If you want to splurge and pamper yourself come here! You won't be disappointed.

I stayed in a suite called Kohaku, which had an open-air bath.I was picked up by a shuttle bus from Kameoka Station and headed to my accommodation. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a pleasant greeting and received some welcome sweets.Dinner was kaiseki cuisine, all of which were beautiful, seasonal, and delicious. The corn rice served in a clay pot is so sweet that it melts your cheeks. (The fact that the head chef comes to greet you is also a big plus.) You can really feel the spirit of hospitality. The rooms are clean and have a Japanese feel. The area around the inn is quiet and you can hear the birds chirping and relax.Thank you very much for the wonderful time.

I used it because it had good reviews. It was a suite room, but it was old and dirty. The published photos of the hotel look beautiful, but the rooms and furniture had a Showa-era feel and smelled of mold, especially the bedroom, which made it difficult to sleep soundly. I wish I had taken the renovated room.

The exterior may be a little old, but the interior and staff service are top notch. How many times has this happened? I use it almost every month. The food was also full of attention to detail. I was blown away by Chef Kobayashi's commitment to the soup stock.I've been to famous hotels and inns, but they always rely on reputation.Isn't this the best inn? I was very satisfied.I often come to Yunohana Onsen, and it is a very relaxing inn.I am also very satisfied with Ayurveda.
